On the topic ( and usefulness) of thumbs

So, update.

My thumb still hurts.

It has been about a month now.

It still hurts.

I will probably go to the doctor this weekend or early next week to see what they have to say, since some of the other injuries from a month ago have largely healed, but my thumbs still quite hurts. Depending on what the doctor says, I may need to not write much next week, or even start my vacation earlier if the doctor says I need to. We’ll see what they have to say. Fingers crossed that it’s easy to fix, but I’m letting you guys know in case things slow down earlier than expected. I’ll keep you updated.

I don't know if this WILL disrupt my writing schedule, but it might. My thumbs are great. I use my thumbs to hit the spacebar key while I'm writing, and that is a pretty darn important key. I also use my thumbs for daily life. Opening ziploc bags has never been harder since I've needed to keep pressure off of my thumbs. Cutting potatoes is also surprisingly difficult, since cutting potatoes apparently puts a fair amount of pressure on some joints connected to my thumbs somehow, or something. Either way, cutting potatoes hurts now.

So yeah. Depending on what happens, chapters may be cancelled or delayed as my health requires, until my thumbs are healed up and I can function more effectively again.
