This is my pitch for Wonder Woman

So, due to time travel shenanigans--this may actually (still) be the case in DCU canon--Wonder Woman shows up for WW2, then goes away until she comes back around when Superman first shows up. Possibly she is also her mother. Or Donna Troy. Nobody knows!

My idea is that in the interim, Diana becomes this feminist icon. However, when she gets back, it's like Jesus Christ returning and meeting a bunch of Fundamentalists. She'll be beating up a male assassin because, you know, he's trying to kill people and someone will say "Woohoo, misandry!" And Diana will just stand there like "I don't... hate men?"

Or there was this actual panel I saw where Diana is interrogating a guy with the lasso of truth. He says some sexist stuff, because the lasso makes you say what you believe to be true, so another woman present goes "Mansplaining!" and hits him. My version, Diana stops her and says "Only the most dishonorable of warriors would abuse a prisoner in their charge!"

Basically, this Superman-level Big Good who is all about morality and doing the right thing, suddenly having to put up with being seen as a girl on a sign that says "DECAPITATE THE PATRIARCHY!" and having to go no, no, people, I think that violence is bad!

Also, she'd be dating Steve Trevor. "Whoa, I thought you were bisexual!" "Yes, I am bisexual, and I'm attracted to Steve and I'm currently in a relationship with him." "You're a straight woman!" "No, I'm still attracted to women, I'm just not in a relationship with one at the moment--" "Straight woman! Straight woman! HIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!"
