I'm betting that whatever story this was taken from did not end well for not-La here. (C'mon, woman ruling over a tribe of subhuman males that are supposedly of the same species even though they look like apes and she's gorgeous? I can't be the only one seeing it) i also suspect that if a story is actually being written based on this (as opposed to just whetting our appetites for some Red Sonja hotness), it will end differently.
