Sparking A Fire notes

This was kinda haphazardly written. I wrote the second chapter first, kinda outlining that the first part would be this kiss/make-out session between Supergirl and Livewire, but then my muse turned it into outright sex because how often are you going to get to write lightning woman sex? So that makes maybe the second chapter's reactions a little underwhelming. Then in the third chapter, it turns into Kara wanting to seduce Alex and all the smuttiness that entails. 

Then again, it is a fic about Kara sleeping with her sister after getting sexed by a woman made of electricity, so playing a little fast and loose with the narrative is probably the least of what people could be offended by.

I've written a few of these big/little fics, and it's always something of a challenge because I'm a robot and these are stories where the appeal is people being emotionally comforted. "So just write it how you like to be emotionally comforted." "I don't." "Then just write it how you would emotionally comfort someone." "Uhh..." 

I generally try to avoid them, because when it's just an occasional thing, I can muddle through by kinda throwing myself into the characters and hoping the dynamic and the sex can carry through. But if I wrote like five of these a month, people would be noticing that the characters are always cuddling and feeding each other pizza. But as a change of pace, every once in a while, apparently people like it, so... 

When in doubt, add a fisting scene. That's my motto.

Oh, I suppose I should give myself credit for having Kara vent out Cat Grant to Alex. Sorry, Cat Ladies, I just can't stand her. She's almost one of those show-killing characters for me, like Malcolm Merlyn or anyone on The Walking Dead. Just, what's the appeal? She's like a Republican congressmen who has gay sex while passing anti-gay legislation: she actually knows what she's doing is wrong, but continues promoting, propagating, and profiting from sexism (and general misanthropy) while using it as an excuse for her own bad behavior. The moral of "Perry White threw a chair through a window" (and which version of the character would ever do that? Laurence Fishburne?) is not that women should be allowed to throw chairs around too, but that no one should throw a chair around the workplace. Oh, and going by the Thanksgiving episode, apparently she's in the habit of outing gay celebrities, so seriously, fuck her in the ear.
