I can't much stand this yaoibunny crap with Deadpool and Spider-Man I have my reasons.

1. Peter is straight.

2. Peter isn't a killer and isn't willing to associate with people who kill.

3. If Felicia Hardy merely stealing from people is enough to spoil their relationship, then how could he possibly enter into a relationship with a hired assassin?

It's basically just totally ignoring all characterization, logic, and sexual harassment laws because "guy on guy is hot!"

But there's a kernel of a good idea in there, and a kernel of another good idea in Venom. He's an iconic Spider-Man character, yet Spider-Man 3 has hopefully proven once and for all that he has no place beside Green Goblin or Doc Ock. He's a fun side character, but not in any way one of Spidey's greatest foes.

My take on him is that he's essentially Peter's annoying/psychotic younger brother. He wants to hang out with Peter and fight crime together, but the fact that he's a fucking psychopath and often resorts to cannibalism means that Peter has no wish to have anything to do with him, unless the situation is truly dire.

So their meetings aren't life or death, sturm und drung affairs, but just Venom getting on Spidey's nerves while Spidey tries to get rid of him, bring him in, or just do his own job. Simple.
