If I ever got the chance
Added 2017-09-10 20:59:00 +0000 UTCI'd be a lot nicer to the Gwen Stacy fans than they've been to anyone else. Y'know, if someone made a comic where Mary Jane didn't end up with Peter, I'd still want her to be treated respectfully, so this is where I'm being a bigger man than I necessarily have to. Because I figure most people like all the characters and there's no need to alienate people who are just trying to enjoy a Spider-Man comic.
But if I weren't...
During one of the storylines where Peter and MJ had been apart for a while, I would have them meet up again. They ask each other if they're seeing anyone else. MJ says yeah, she's been on a few dates, but nothing serious. Peter would say he'd been seeing a blonde, it was getting pretty intense, but then she cheated on him. And it especially rankles on him because it's this old, ugly guy she cheated on him with, which is hard for him to take.
Mary Jane would ask him "wait, this guy, is he really rich?"
Peter would say no, no, Gwen's not like that.
"But is he?"
And Peter would admit that yes, Norman Osborn is a billionaire.
Gwen Stacy: Gold Digger. It's more consistent with canon than a lot of things i could name!
