Don't Look Away update

Dick popped the caps off the beer bottles with his bare hand, his knuckles becoming as big and gnarled as walnuts as he wrenched them right off. He handed a beer to Tim. “This seems like a lager kind of talk.”

Mostly bemused, Tim took the bottle he was offered. “I’ve resisted Poison Ivy’s pheromones. I’m not sure beer is going to do much.”

“It’s a psychological thing. This is how men bond. I’d take you fishing if there was anywhere around Gotham to do it.”

“We’d probably catch a three-eyed fish.”

“Or Cthulu.”

Tim was seated on the couch—Dick sat down on the easy chair beside it. He had slightly too much restless energy to settle down; he threw one leg over the armrest. “You know, I always thought of us as a bit bro-ish. Not like Bruce. We actually talked about our personal lives. But I suppose I kinda left off about… chicks.”

“You mean Kory and Donna?”

“Yeah.” Dick snapped his fingers before pointing them at Tim. “Didn’t really bring that up. Just let it trickle down the grapevine.”

“It’s your business, man. We don’t have to talk about it.”

“But now you’re… doing stuff with Cass and Steph. Which is weird, both of us doing the Wild Things thing. Like when both of the Wachowski brothers got sex-change operations. It’s not crazy or anything, but you wouldn’t expect it.”

“I think it’s the car,” Tim said. “Chicks dig the car.”

“I know, right?” Dick took a healthy swig of his beer. “But anyway, I need to lay down some wisdom for you on the threesome stuff. Because someone needs to talk you through this, and it’s either gonna be me or some weird Mormon people.”

“Barbara told you to talk to me, right?”

“That too.” Dick took another, lighter sip. “Okay, man to man? You’ve gotta be the captain of the ship here.”

Tim winced. “Isn’t that a little sexist?”

“It’s sensical. You think I’m charting the course when it comes to Kory and Donna? I’m an emotional retard compared to Donna. And Kory’s way in touch with her feelings, but there’s still human stuff she doesn’t know jack about. And when it comes to being open with our feelings, we’re all around here—“ Dick held his beer high up in the air. “You, Cass, Steph?” He held his beer low. “You’re down here. But you, Tim, you’re…” He raised his beer an incremental degree. “See? Your beer’s getting warm, by the way.”

Tim took an obliging sip. “This is bitter—are you sure it’s good?”

“It’s Dutch.”

“Is that good?”

Dick ignored him. “You’re my brother, man, and I love you, but let’s face it—you’re not exactly Mr. Sensitive. Remember that time Secret turned into a supervillain because you didn’t know she had a crush on you?”

“Hey, what about you and Huntress—“

“Let’s not turn this into a contest,” Dick demurred. “My point is, compared to Cass and Steph, you’re a regular 90s guy. Cass is, well, Cass. And Steph is a sorority girl. Like, really a sorority girl. She expects to be coddled and stuff. You gotta coddle her.”

“Coddle. Got it.” Tim took another sip of his beer. It was growing on him.

“And man, it’s a safe bet you’re gonna have no idea what those two are going through. Steph’s dad is a supervillain, she had a kid, gave the kid up, died that one time—lots to digest. Cass? Dad is another supervillain? Raised from birth to be a perfect killing machine? Mom is yet another supervillain? Big-time issues. You’re Captain Well-Adjusted on this team. So you’ve gotta be the reasonable one. The mature one. If shit flares up, you gotta smooth things over. Forgive them. No pettiness, no vindictiveness, you gotta straight-up Jesus their crap.”

“So I’ve gotta be a martyr?” Tim asked suspiciously.

“Yeah, dude.” Dick swigged his beer. “I hate to tell you this, but if this is a real relationship, it’s not just gonna be a porno you’re living in. Believe me, Kory and Donna and I, we’ve been through some massive craziness. And I have not been the bigger man always. I acted like a total ass sometimes. Really embarrassed myself. I think you can do better—be the guy that listens to that small voice in the back of your head telling you it’s not their fault that Cass and Steph are acting that way, it’s all the crap they’ve been through. All that—“ Dick steepled his fingers together, beer dangling from one hand, in parody of Tim’s body language when deliberating. “Logic? That’s your superpower here. Being able to take a step back from all the yelling and the accusations to see what’s really going on. Looking past who’s right and who’s wrong to do what’s best for the relationship.”

“You kinda make it sound like I have to be a monk.”

“Do you want me to lie and tell you it’d be easy? You’re in a relationship now with not one, but two emotionally damaged girls. I’m happy for you, man, and I wish you all the best, but if you can’t hack being there for the shitty parts along with the Tim Sandwiches, you should think about whether this thing is right for you. Bruce had the right idea. He took a long, hard look at some of the women who wanted to spend their lives with him and decided if it was a good plan or not. And that’s why you’re not Ra’s al Ghul’s grandson right now. I’m not saying you have to go as far as he did and be a eunuch, but decide if this is your Catwoman or just your Summer Gleeson.”

“Wait… Bruce and Summer Gleeson?”

“What can I say?” Dick shrugged. “It’s the car.”

Tim gulped some beer down.

***

Steph remembered reading somewhere that if you blew up a Barbie doll to the size of a real person, it would be a freak of nature. The proportions were all wrong. An optical illusion thing. At six inches tall, it looked like a hot chick, but at six feet…

That was how Steph felt looking at Starfire. She was nearly seven feet tall and if she was anywhere near as slender as either Steph or Cass, she would’ve been as gawky as a giraffe. But she was so voluptuous that it worked. And if she weren’t so curvy, all her muscles would’ve made her look butch instead of athletic. She ended up the best of all possible worlds, a fit, statuesque, double-D stunner that seemed impossible at first glance, but remained stubbornly real. Maybe it was how striking her looks were that made everyone fall in love with her. Maybe it was that her face and hair alone were enough to make her a model—and her eyes—and the way she moved—and how she talked…

Steph resented her good looks, obviously, and she was still half in love with Kory. She got the idea Cass was too. Her girlfriend was looking at Starfire like baby kittens looked at people who rescued them from the pound.

“I don’t think we’ve ever been formally introduced!” Kory said in her light, airy voice. That was great too, girly to the point of bimboish, perfectly undercutting the intimidation factor of her appearance. And her costume—well, it was a bra, panties, straps between the two, and knee-high boots. Her hair covered more than her ‘outfit’. “You Gotham types are all so—compartmentalized, but I always enjoy meeting you when I get the chance. I just wish it weren’t on business, so to speak.”

“We… don’t mind…” Cass said. Her usual halting tones felt peculiarly awestruck.

Steph really hated Kory now. She felt her pussy throbbing…

“That’s nice of you to say,” Kory replied. “I trust you both know of me? Kory Anders? Starfire? Teen Titan?”

Cass nodded enthusiastically and so did Steph—after Cass elbowed her in the ribs.

“And of course, you know Nightwing, Dick Grayson, my companion adventurer and sex lover. He and I are best friends with Donna Troy—Troia, also known as Wonder Girl…”

(Cass was listening just fascinated, and Steph couldn’t blame her. Kory could make reading the phone book sound cheery—and a little erotic.)

“And since we’ve first met, that friendship has grown to include romance. The three of us are now all in a sexual relationship, much like the two of you are in with Tim Drake. Of course, we’ve been at it far longer than you—so to speak—which is why Barbara asked the three of us if we could speak to you about your relationship and how you should best manage it.”

“Oh, God, this is couples counseling?” Steph moaned. When Barbara had called them in to meet with the Titans, she thought she’d get to do something fun like play pranks with Impulse or see Superboy take his shirt off.

“Well, yes and no—Barbara thought that the three of you are very new to relationships, particularly this kind of a relationship, and so it’d be good for you to speak to someone who has experience with it. Dick is speaking with Tim, and I’m sure Donna will have some very good advice for you, but first, I thought I’d have a quick word.”

“About what?” Steph insisted, arms crossed. “Open and honest communication? Apologizing? Trust falls? I’ve watched a lot of Dr. Phil, lady—my mom only gets broadcast television and his show is on, just, so much.”

“Yes,” Kory said, “I can see that open and honest communication isn’t much of a problem for either of you. Is it, Cass?”

“Steph is being mean to you… because she thinks you’re pretty… and it would turn her on if you were mean to her back.”

“Cass! God!” Steph cried. “Don’t listen to Cass, she lies!”

“I wouldn’t lie to you… Miss Anders…”

“I know, Cassandra.” Kory turned to look at Steph with her all-green eyes, like emerald orbs that had been polished to be smoother than anything else in existence. “I understand why you would feel threatened by me, Steph. I’m more attractive and more successful than you. I also have more life experience.”

“Lots of people have more life experience than me,” Steph groused unhappily. “I’m very sheltered.”

“As I was saying, I’m sure Dick and Donna will have plenty of excellent advice for both of you, and probably be better at communicating it than I would be. So all I really have to advise you on is sex.”

Steph clenched. Something about hearing that word, and Kory saying, and the way Cass leaned forward… “Say-wha?”

“Sex is the most important part of a relationship,” Kory continued confidently. “Talk is important, yes, but love goes deeper than talk—and what can go deeper than having sex?”

Cass coughed. Even she got that one.

“Sex is a reminder for everyone in your relationship of the pleasure you can give to each other, and take in turn. It’ll remind you of your true feelings for one another, cool down your arguments, and be beneficial to your health as well. Dick and Donna will be coy about it, but we very frequently have sex, and try a variety of positions and techniques as well. I would encourage you to do the same. The better you can pleasure each other, the happier your relationship will be.”

“That… makes sense,” Cass said in sagacious agreement.

“No, wait, that’s it?” Steph demanded. “That’s your big relationship advice? Have a lot of sex? I mean, sure, maybe when you look like Kate Upton… and dress like Kate Upton…”

“Sexual attraction is a state of mind,” Kory stated, “not a response to physical appearance. Though not only are both of you very desirable, but I can see you are very attracted to each other. Don’t be shy—would one of you like to sit in the other’s lap?”

“Yes,” Cass said at the same time that Steph said “No.”

Kory’s hands knitted together in concern. Her fingers were very long. “Are the two of you uncomfortable with intimacy?”

“What? No! Of course not!”

“No, not Cass—she seems very comfortable with her body… but you, Stephanie, you do wear a… what’s the word… burqa?”

It’s not a burqa!”

“And it’s eggplant-colored,” Kory tsked.

“It’s not purp—“ Steph caught herself.

“You’ll notice most other heroines wear tight, formfitting costumes. Not heavy cloaks and a baggy… cassock?”

“It’s not a cassock!” Steph insisted. “Hey, this is Gotham, you know. Some of us get cold at night.”

“Huntress gets cold at night. It never stopped her from showing a bit of skin,” Kory pointed out. “Which Dick very much appreciated.”

“Mmm?” Cass hummed quizzically, getting a “don’t encourage her” whisper from Steph.

“Yes. I wore her old costume for him once.” Kory paused to look guilty. “Then Huntress told us she wanted to go back to wearing it in the summer. That proved impossible.”

Cass got moony-eyed as she pictured Kory in Helena’s old hotpants and ab window costume. Steph could tell because she was doing the same thing.

“Your problem can’t be too serious,” Kory continued. “You both look very cute from where I’m standing.”

“Ten feet in the air with heels,” Steph groused under her breath.

“Let’s have a closer look. Remove your clothes.”

Cass was already unzipping her summer dress when Steph stopped her. “Hey, whoa, you can’t just ask us to strip!”

Kory pressed her palms together. “You’re right, Stephanie. My apologies. Please, would the two of you kindly take your clothes off?” she asked plaintively. “I need to examine your naked bodies and I can’t do that while you’re fully dressed.”

Cass turned her head to Steph, inclining her head as if to say ‘Satisfied?’ without actually having that word in her vocabulary. She started to struggle out of her dress.

“Wait,” Kory told her, making Steph smirk a little as the other girl finally got chided. “Is that how you would present yourself to Tim or Steph? Just ripping your clothes off to get naked?”

“Not… fun…?” Cass asked confusedly.

“Well, it can be,” Kory admitted. “But there can be a lot more to it than that.” She looked around the room, finally spotting a closet door with a mirror built into it. “Perfect! Come—you should get a good look at what you’re doing when you’re doing what you shouldn’t.”

“Shouldn’t?” Cass repeated as Kory walked off.

“Don’t listen to her,” Steph said. “She’s being whimsical. You can be whimsical when you have a…” Her eyes were following Kory as she trailed off. “Really nice ass…”

Cass craned her neck to examine Kory from behind as well. Steph noticed and grabbed Cass’s hand, pulling her to where Kory was leading them.

“Don’t you notice too! It’s bad enough I’m doing it!”

“Doing what?” Kory asked as they came within speaking distance of her.

“Nothing,” Steph hissed.

“There’s no need to be ashamed. I’m sure the three of you have had many orgasms in your relationship up till now. Let’s keep it that way, shall we?” Kory gave them a beaming smile that Steph had to work not to share. She was just so… friendly. And sexy. And sensual. And innocent. And naughty. It wasn’t fair! It was like she was a kaleidoscope that kept showing different kinds of hot!

And if she was dating an Amazon, it was a good bet she was into all kinds of kinky bondage fun as well, the bitch…

Steph stood in front of the mirror with Kory and Cass—she despaired. Kory was just so beautiful, and cute, and sexy, with her long tawny limbs, her wild hair that looked perfect exactly the way it was, the boobs that were the size of pumpkins and still barely drooped. Guys must tie themselves in a knot, trying to decide between falling in love with her and being her best friend and fucking her like the nastiest porn star imaginable…

“Shoes first,” Kory said. “You’re both a bit young for heels—when you are ready for them, just leave them on. Boys love that. But if you’re wearing tennis shoes or sandals, take those off fast.”

Steph stuck her hands on her hips. “What’s wrong with tennis shoes?” she demanded, as Cass kicked her shoes off.

Kory ignored her to focus on Cass. “No!” she said, catching a flying Ked. “Slowly. Like this.” Leaning indolently against the wall, she picked up one foot and crossed it on her other thigh, stilling it as she reached down and pulled off the little moccasin. The stance bent her down, giving a glimpse down the neckline of her shirt, and Steph gulped involuntarily. “And try to put them somewhere out of the way.” With both moccasins in hand, Kory dropped them against the wall, then tidied them even with her bare foot. “You don’t want to spoil the illusion.”

“What illusion?” Steph insisted. Kory still ignored her.

“Now, from there, we work from the top down. We all know there’s only one thing men really care about, so that comes last. And that’s why you do the shoes first. You don’t want to stop the action just when it’s getting interesting to keep from putting your shoes on the bed. If you use a bed.” Kory smiled confidentially, sharing a secret with Cass’s rapt listener and Steph’s more stolid reception. “Most relationships die in bed. See if there’s an armchair handy, or a sofa, or a rug!”

Cass was nodding along agreeably. Steph thumped her hand into Cass’s belly. “Don’t nod,” she said lowly.

“Let your hair down,” Kory told them. “Men can be very hurt when they’ve finished doing coitus with you and your hair’s still in place. You want to be disheveled after proper sex. When you comb your hair afterwards, they’ll think of how it got that way. That’s called afterplay.”

Cass pulled her barrettes out, loosing her pigtails. Steph sighed and worked off her hair tie, then shook out her ponytail.

“Now the top,” Kory said. This time when Cass moved to rip her dress off, Kory stopped her. “Slowly! Sinuously. Your body must look soft, sensual, not like you’re unboxing a package from Amazon. Make each move a caress.”

“I’m wearing a shirt,” Steph protested, though she dutifully tried to make it sexy by grabbing the thing by the hem and slowly raising it up her stomach.

She looked over at Cass and saw her doing the same—there was something arousing about how the dress slowly traveled up her legs, her thighs… it was almost disappointing when Cass’s panties came into view, blocking off her lovely flesh, but then there was her long, lean belly and the hills of her breasts, even inside her bra…

Very good, Cassandra!” Kory praised. “Now pause.”

Steph froze, then realized she still had her shirt up over her mouth. She hurriedly pulled it over her head and dropped it before ‘pausing’.

“There’s such a thing as too slow, Steph,” Kory told her. “But it’s good that you’re appreciating Cass’s attempt. Now, you don’t want to let your lover just be a passive observer during all of this. They’re part of the fun, so this is a good time to involve them. Stephanie, kiss Cassandra.”

Steph turned to Cass, a bit put-off to be getting to first base on someone else’s orders, but at the moment of her hesitation, Cass leaned in and started without her—so to speak.

“That’s nice,” Kory said. “Be sweet at first. This isn’t just sex, it’s affection. Let Steph know how fond you are of her.”

Steph mostly just felt absurd. She and Cass were bending at the waist to meet in the middle, only their lips touching, their hands at their sides. It didn’t feel like sex, it felt like they were at a sleepover, playing a game of spin the bottle. But it was cute, the way Cass was nuzzling against her lips, seeming to infinitely enjoy having her mouth against Steph’s.

“Be more passionate, but only little by little. Don’t let go of the affection. A kiss can be so much more than just for pleasure. Now, allow yourself to grow excited. Try to sense how aroused the other is, and let that affect you. And don’t be afraid to express it! Try to put it into short little sighs.”

Steph’s lips were impossible to separate from Cass’s, the kiss itself a living thing, growing and purring with passion deep inside her. She was just letting it happen, going along with Kory’s whispered suggestions, feeling even hotter every time Kory’s arousing voice reminded her that she was being watched.

Their hands brushed together as they moved to caress each other, and both of them smiled into their never-ending kiss before they started to touch one another in earnest, rolling their hands over the tempting expanses of bare flesh that they’d just had so lovingly revealed to each other. Kory was right. It was better when they did it slowly. It made Steph want to go faster even more—faster and faster and faster…

“I see neither of you has unsnapped the other’s bra,” Kory said, a smirk in her tone and on her face. “That’s alright—if things are too hot for anyone to think of that, it can be a very good sign. But make sure to do it yourself if the other person won’t. It’d be a shame to lose a perfectly good bra because you got your lover burning so hot they couldn’t wait for you to undo the strap.”

Cass did as Kory instructed, opening her bra and shrugging it off. All the scars that covered her body, big and small, couldn’t do a thing to diminish the beauty of her pert breasts.

Kory stopped Steph as she separated the hooks of her bra, piecing them back together. “Don’t offer them,” Kory said. “Just show them. You want to be natural about it—no need to make a big production at this point. Try to pretend the bra has come unfastened by itself.”

Kory undid the bra and helped it down Steph’s arms, obliquely revealing Steph’s naked chest to Cass. The way Cass looked at it was more than someone wanting to touch. She wanted to fuck Steph’s breasts, get herself off with them like she was Tim stroking himself through Steph’s cleavage. Steph wondered how much Cass would enjoy watching him get a titjob…

“And don’t just be attentive to your lover’s needs,” Kory said. “Pay attention to your own. When you’re ready, go lower. Tasting your lover should be like a glass of cool water on a hot day. You have to wait until you really want it. And if she wants it first—let her have it.”

“What if I… want to make her want it…?” Cass asked haltingly. “Can I touch her… to make her want it… even more than I do?”

“Of course!” Kory chirped. “You simply touch her…” Kory stepped between Steph and Cass, her tall body and unbound hair now completely blocking Steph’s view. She could only listen as Cass moaned—“There.”—and gasped—“There.”—and sighed—“And there, of course.” Kory stepped away. “Now would be a good time to kiss the other’s neck. Whether you want to go lower or you want them to go lower, a kiss on the neck makes it very obvious.”

“What about—“ Cass looked down. “My stockings?”

Never take them off,” Kory said seriously. “If you’re lucky enough to have them on, let them stay on. I’m sure we’re all aware that a woman in the right lingerie can be sexier than a nude woman—more naked. Stockings are a way of being naked and not naked at the same time. The best of both worlds. Almost covered, but not quite. And black. Always black.”

Steph was licking her lips as Cass said “So I keep them… on?”

“Until you’re washing the lovemaking off in the shower. And the rule about keeping things neat and tidy doesn’t apply here. Everyone loves seeing a stocking discarded on the floor.”

“And what about our panties?” Steph asked. She had to admit, Kory knew her stuff. She felt like she was going to have a heatstroke between her legs.

“What do you think?” Kory asked her. She ran a finger under Steph’s chin. “Lovemaking can’t be just a bunch of rules and checkmarks. There’s improvisation to consider. Besides—“ Her voice became a husky whisper. “What if you weren’t wearing panties at all? Now, once more from the top—and with feeling this time.”
