“Wow! You have such a great view of the park, Yana!” Kitty said with girlish glee, looking out the window to see Rachel and her man conversing. Rachel was all smiles. “Now that’s a fast worker.”

“Live fast, die young, come back from the dead. It’s an X-Men life,” Illyana mused, reclining across her bed to the headboard. She looked Kitty up and down from a pile of pillows.

“You sure you’re Piotr’s sister?” Kitty asked as the blonde eyed her hungrily.

“Why do you ask?”

“Because you don’t act like him.”

“How do I act?”

“Oh, like someone who’s gotten around a lot. I mean, been to a lot of places, done a lot of things. Not like a tourist… on a tour…”

“Well, I wasn’t born so far away from here, after all. I’ve been to Paris before.”

“You’re kidding.”

“No.”

“Then why come with us? On a tour?”

“Because I get to take it with you.”

Kitty smiled. “Now you sound like Piotr. That’s exactly something he would say. All sweet and innocent, but with those muscles you wouldn’t believe, the biceps the size of basketballs, and that ass as big as a Volks—“ Kitty clapped her hand over her mouth, the rest of her face flushing terribly.

Illyana giggled at her. “It’s alright, Kitty. I know how intimate the two of you were. It’s not like he never talked about you.”

“Really?” Kitty asked, voice muffled through her hand. She casually brought it down. “What’d he say about me?”

“Oh, things,” Illyana said, amusing herself by playing it as coolly as Kitty was trying to. “Like how he likes your hair.”

Kitty thoughtlessly played with a strand of it. “Oh yeah… everyone likes my hair. What else?”

“Then again—we don’t talk that much.”

Kitty frowned. “Spoilsport.”

“No, really. We’re not that close. But if you like, I could tell you what I like about you.”
