Rest for the wicked

So I've got three weeks to do nothing but watch Mad Men and work on the Great American Novel.
One odd thing I've noticed: most of my Kon stories get more than their fair share of likes. On par with Spider-Man, who is a beloved comics icon and the star of nine movies, while Kon is a character that's been exiled from continuity for years at a time, is lucky to get supporting cast member status in Superman media (he got one episode of Smallville, nothing in Supergirl, nothing yet in Superman & Lois), to say nothing of getting an accurate depiction (I blame Geoff Johns for thinking Kon needs to be a 'brooding bad boy' instead of 'someone who has a personality').
At any rate: Kon. Surprisingly popular. Is it just that we're all comic fans of a certain age and, in an era where most superheroes were by default chaste (women throw themselves at them, they politely decline for frustratingly prudish reasons), Kon seemed to be in possession of a sex drive, even if the tattered remains of the Comics Code kept him from putting it to good use?
Hunh. I'd think about basing a CYOA fic around him, but I've probably started enough of those already and I have enough Kon WIPs that finishing them all would take a month of Sundays. Oh well.
