2025-01-20 12:31:19 +0000 UTCThis movie has gorgeous music as usual! and the animation was a step up from the show which looked awesome, I like that they did a musical it works for su, but I agree with you lots of parts of the movie was rushed and seemed to be very simple for su, garnets part felt skipped over and kinda off it didnβt feel right the show wouldβve done much better explaining her story, although I do love spinel I do feel really bad for her what pink diamond did to her was evil and just horribly sad leaving her standing for that long is just soul crushing rose/pink had an awful side to her with a complete lack of empathy for others and this movie shows it more than the show did, I think this story does remind me a lot of mlp villains with friendship being the main focus which I do like cause su doesnβt involve that in the show as something like mlp, Iβm kinda glad they went with that backstory for her, I felt spinels pain being left behind by a friend is painful I still havenβt reconnected with some of the friends I knew from school they definitely drift away, also reminds me I loved that song it was very emotional and beautiful, a lot of the movie was really pgreat but I agree with you some stuff was skipped over probably for time, I feel like the movies of shows always have these issues kinda cause they have to introduce everyone again mlp movie did that too I feel like they lose time doing that, but overall a really good movie! and a fantastic epilogue of season 5 good definitely outweighs the bad for me too, also possibly a set up for Steven universe future? great reaction!
