I was pretty sure it was but the wiki said the prequal manga was released before the anime so I didn't want to risk it ToT. Did some Googling and turns out MAL made a purge on the SoL genre tag, which made sense cause I remember years ago every other series was tagged as SoL lmao. (Although I don't agree with the removal of the tag in some series... )
