Weekly Gaze - II - Faelain Head

Hello and good morning evening day night midnight everyone! ^^

This week's Weekly Gaze (a whoppin' number II) is about furry heads, or rather, the Faelain heads. I will make a proper making-of-the-heads once the heads are ready for parade! Above this post, you can see an embedded Sketchfab view of three characters with F, U, and R letters ^^ 

These are what is generally called as greys, aka lowpoly versions without textures. Lowpoly means it is basically a game model, with minimal physical detail. Eventually these will get sculpted (digital sculpting) highpoly versions that are then used to "transfer maps" to the lowpoly model. Basically we create textures that contain information of the sculpted version and use those on the lowpoly game models to fake detail and lighting :3

What are we workin' on?

While I'm primarily working on the heads, Hareress is working on some more Showroom stages and new full acts, and I'm secondarily working on Conversations with our visiting coder. The next build most likely won't include the new heads, because I also want to improve the bodies (smoother, better bending, more effects <3) too and linking everything together will take some time not to mention animations and all patterns need to be tweaked to work with the new meshes, BUT we're getting close now! And it's always the first time that takes longest. Once this species is done, the next one will be a lot faster ^^

I'm hoping to replace the Showroom camera for the next build, so that it wouldn't conflict so much with the environment (especially in the Showroom stages), but mostly the next build will be a content build to add more full acts and stages ^^
