November 2022 Patreon Update/Newsletter
Added 2022-11-09 02:53:49 +0000 UTCHey Skip Introverts!
If you’re reading this, that’s because you are a patron! This channel would not be possible without your amazing support, and it certainly wouldn’t be as well-researched and in-depth. Thank you for doing that, it’s really nice!
Every month I try to put out a newsletter like this one, updating you all on the state of the channel, Patreon, and the beloved (yes, beloved!) Copaganda series. Attached to this post are reading lists of all the articles and books and stuff I’ve been reading to prepare for the next chapters (and previous chapters) of the Copaganda series if you’re interested!
I’m currently working on Copaganda 11, titled Top Gun: Maverick — The Politics of Nostalgia, which will come out later this month. Why am I talking about a movie instead of a TV show? Shut your mouth, you’ll find out.
After Top Gun, I’m a little up in the air on what I want to cover in December. I’ve been really loving this season of The White Lotus so far, which has really interesting things to say about class, and I’ve also started hate-watching Jack Ryan, and I have so many emotions about it that I might just have to make a video.
But that’s not all! I’ll also be putting out a vlog about Midnight Mass that will be able to touch on the more spoilery aspects of the show before the end of the month. CJ and I will also, finally, be recording The Americans Rewatch Podcast again on 11/28, covering the sixth and final season of the show. It’s going to break my heart all over again. That should be out around the first week of December.
This Sunday (11/13) will be the live Q&A, I’ll post a thread where you can post your questions separately, as always.
Lastly, I wrote my monthly TV roundup covering some stuff I watched in October. Mostly I just brain-dumped about House of the Dragon.

I am! It's in the running for the December video, but more likely I'm going to take a little more time on it and roll it out in early 2023

2022-11-10 04:18:51 +0000 UTCI see the video on "we own this city" no longer seems to be on the schedule or under the future videos section. No longer planning to make it?

2022-11-09 21:50:23 +0000 UTCSchmidt From New Girl sounds like a really interesting video topic. My wife started a rewatch of that show the day after I watched Promising Young Woman and I could not deal with him at all in that context.
