Another month, another mailbag! Ask me anything! If you need topics, my next video is going to be about The Bear and then after that a copaganda episode about Chris Hansen and To Catch a Predator. So why don't you have a seat and ask me some stuff!
I'll post the link here as always but I'll be live on Monday 7/8 @ 5pm Pacific so submit your questions before then...

This is a really interesting idea, and I'd love to hear more on this.

2024-07-14 04:26:21 +0000 UTCOh shit now I have James Bond homework to do! Alright so I think an interesting angle would be to track the evolution of the series through real world politics, as the first movies were made during the Cold War and transitionned towards a post 9/11 world. There's been four major James Bond actors, maybe your best bet would be to watch one of each. I've seen them all up to Skyfall, but most only once and a long time ago, so I'll do my best with that list. For the Sean Connery era: Goldfinger. For the Roger Moore era: Moonraker For the Pierce Brosnan era: Tomorrow Never Dies For the Daniel Craig era: I'd say Skyfall If anyone else has different recommendations feel free to listen to them, as I'm not the biggest expert on the franchise. I do love the Brosnan era, those are the ones I'm more knowledgeable about, as these were the ones coming out when I was a kid, so I have a bit of nostlagia for these films. The Daniel Craig era went hard into the post 9/11 "gritty realism/Nolan's Dark Knight"mood that was trending in the later half of the 2000s, so I have less love for them. Have a nice day!

2024-07-09 13:46:44 +0000 UTCOh, and I would be curious to know if you've seen any speculative fiction/science fiction versions of "law enforcement" that stand out to you. Are there any speculative/futuristic representations of "justice" that you like?
