Final poll for my new game (public)

Hey guys,

Based on the last polls, and your feedback (thank a lot!), I narrowed the choices for my next game down to 4 (more detailed and/or combined) concepts.

The winner of this poll will be my next project for the coming years, so please let me know which one you think it should be.

Thanks a lot!
Faerin

1. Man of the House 2: AR game

You are a young guy (early twenties?) living with a milf and 2/3 other young girls.

A new, revolutionary AR (augmented reality) adult game is coming out, and you been selected as one of the lucky few to become a tester.
But this game turns out to be way more “immersive” than you could ever imagine…

Character development: 5 out of 5
Sexual content: 5 out of 5
Main story: 1/2 out of 5
Gameplay: 1/2 out of 5

- Sandbox / non-linear
- All the porn cliches you can think of (you decide if that’s a good or bad thing)
- Closest to Man of the House, in terms of gameplay and content

2. Man of the house 2: paintings

You are a young guy (early twenties?) living with a milf and 2/3 other young girls.

After moving to a new house, you discover several paintings that you can magically “enter”, to visit different fantasy settings. The characters in the paintings will be played by the same characters that are living with you in the house, playing a different role in each painting. By progressing the story in one painting, you will unlock new content in other paintings, as well as affect your relationship with them in the “real world”.

Character development: 4/5 out of 5
Sexual content: 4/5 out of 5
Main story: 3 out of 5
Gameplay: 2/3 out of 5

- Sandbox / semi-linear
- Different themes/outfits/content for each girl in each painting
- Optional: different gameplay elements in each painting

3. Man of the house 2: bodyguard

You are a mature guy (between 30 and 40), working as a bodyguard.

After a wealthy businessman is killed, you are hired by his milf wife and 3/4 young girls to come live with them and keep them safe. Your job will be to drive and escort them to varies activities, help them with all kinds of chores, and develop your relationship with them. But of course, there is much more to this story, than meets the eye…

Character development: 5 out of 5
Sexual content: 5 out of 5
Main story: 4/5 out of 5
Gameplay: 1/2 out of 5

- Sandbox / non-linear
- More story-driven (unexpected twists, secrets, etc.)

4. Fantasy kingdom

You are a young/mature guy (between 20-40). After your father dies, you follow in his footsteps as the king of your country. You live with a milf queen and 2/3 young girls.

This will be a (fantasy) kingdom management game, containing diplomacy, exploration, trade and (possibly) turn-based warfare/combat. Appoint advisors, expand your army, and conquer new nations, to unlock new (differently themed) characters and content, each with their own storylines.

Character development: 3/4 out of 5
Sexual content: 4 out of 5
Main story: 3/4 out of 5
Gameplay: 4/5 out of 5

- Sandbox / semi-linear
- Different themes/outfits/content for each kingdom
- “Real” game, with meaningful decision-making

Comments

Wrote a case for Paintings and against Medieval theme but comment disappeared, so not sure why but will try to reiterate here, though it's never as good as the first time :) thanks for the time. Essentially I think that the Paintings concept is brilliant and either encompasses the other options or otherwise creates options for unlimited fantasy and imagination. Having played through Mystwood I think your storytelling is incredible, and though you have a penchant for the grind it makes it incredibly worth it with the pay off. Going through with the Medieval theme seems like emphasizing more of the gameplay/grind/tactical than the character developments and interpersonal relationships, thoughts feelings particular preferences and fantasies involved...which imo is what adds all the oomph to the game and where all of the pay - off and compulsion to keep playing comes from. The grind has to be absolutely worth it. So maybe a tilt in favor of the characters and their inner worlds, personal thoughts on what is happening and how they are feeling about changing relationships. More interactions, more build up. I think that although creating a coherent dynamic between the paintings and the impact of their scenarios on the external real world might be a bit tricky, one thing this option offers is controlled unlimitedness. In all of these games I play play play and go through my favorite girl's story and then it's done. With this Paintings concept there will always be a capacity for indefinite expansion in a creative way that makes sense. So, because Paintings would allow for a more flexible and impactful (character - oriented) game, I think it is more in tune with a lot of players seek in these games. Which in essence is a game with memorable characters where you feel and remember the weight of their actions and decisions and what they're doing. One where the grind is consistently and strongly rewarded. Thanks for all the time and effort Faerin. But of course, at the end of the day, the best game will be the one that your heart is into, so I will vote for that. Paintings --> AR --> Mafia --> Medieval. And final final thought, I think that whatever you choose will go well due to your amazing storytelling abilities, and ability to tie it down to some micro play.

I'm leaning towards Bodyguard myself

D Walsh

im for man of the castle :)

I understand Both of Broll and Faerin points. Maybe a name change may make it simpler to understand because at first glance one may think Fantasy Kingdom which got 400 and came second in the general poll has come back with an unfair advantage against MoTH2 that won the poll with 800+ votes. If this however is the same game (not only in name), the the original poll was not needed. Fans will still support which ever game is chosen but the polling at a glance seems...... Off

D Walsh

Faerin whatever you decide we all will like it :) you are good at what you do. Sure lots of us liked MotH for good reasons. Hell i still play it and MWM is a great game so I am sure the next game with be fantastic :) I like both 1 and 4

I think some people are just too "hung up" on the working titles. Like I said, I could call the kingdom game "Man of the House 2: Fantasy Kingdom". It's about the concept that appeals most to you, and you can select multiple options. Besides, it would be a bit weird to just have MotH2 in there, but then, once it was picked, do one of the 3 concepts, that (apparently) a lot of people won't like.

Faerin

I feel like splitting man of the house sequel into 3 game ideas is skewing the poll towards the fantasy game. I wish there was just an either or poll then a follow up poll to narrow down specifics.

Broll

Paintings.

Liam Devlin

Not a big fan of the fantasy kingdon

Sam Wolfe

Thanks, Aj. Honestly, I would love working on all of them!

Faerin

These all sound amazing, I would say do the one you are most passionate about Faerin!

Aj

OK, np then

D Walsh

Why? It only makes sense that they would get the most combined votes, as they make up 75% of the poll.

Faerin

Sorry, guess that was a point best not mentioned. My bad.

D Walsh

Maybe the 4th one should be "man of the castle" or "kingdom" then ;)

Faerin

Hahaha I just realized. Man of the House still has more votes. But because of the split Fantasy looks to have more.... Smh

D Walsh

Completely understand, thanks for responding. Oh! Casting my vote for Bodyguard from now for whenever you finish which ever game and poll a new one.

D Walsh

No, no, no. "Just" one game takes up way too much time already ;)

Faerin

Please remember bodyguard for next game please. I love a good story with these games.

Blanconino

Just asking, it looks like the Fastasy will win this one. But is it possible to develop the Man of the House bodyguard idea as a Kinetic short story parallel to the fantasy? Not too familiar with game development but thinking a kinetic short story could be developed faster and when the Fantasy is completed if you choose to some of the material will be already there to do a full reboot of it.

D Walsh

Paintings has the possibility to cover all 4, but that could get out of hand...lol. Fantasy Kingdom sounds great, and I chose it. Too bad it has lower character development numbers.

Joseph Lynch

All 4 sound really good
