This tutorial is for EVERYONE who wants to create a drawing routine for EFFICIENT IMPROVEMENT! When I thought this tutorial up, I was specifically thinking of how to best help beginner artists, BUT I believe that the contents of this tutorial are helpful for any skill level!

Back to Square One: My Ideal Beginner Art Strategy
Knowing what I know now, what I would do if I were a beginner learning to do art! In this tutorial, I am going to break down what I would focus on and how I would practice if I were approaching art as a beginner in order to both make efficient improvement and preserve the fun in the process!

I'm glad it's helpful! Making the tutorial made me realize I also need to do more in terms of sketching! So I know exactly what you mean! And yayyy! Another pole dancer! haha! Yeah, I'm sure that those stretches and the compressions are very familiar to you!

ChrissaBug

I'm watching this to help me kickstart my practice, and it's very helpful to let me know that some of what I'm doing is totally right track but I gotta do it even MORE so (the sketchbooks everywhere!) and it's giving me some focus because of course, I deeply want to do fantasy character art so your recommendations are right up my alley. :) But also I also do poledance and I LAUGHED when you came in with stretches you noted learning from that; one of my pole instructors always always does the "squish your wrists" one. XD

I'm really curious about this video 👀

Sometimes I still have to remind myself to hold the pen further back! I'm so glad it worked well for you!

ChrissaBug

Why did it never occur to me to hold the pen further back for looser shapes? 😮 I already tried it and it worked wonderfully!

V, the librarian

I hope it offers some good tips for you!

ChrissaBug

I’m so excited to watch this later!!!
