Riding Some Wood

Sparkle is finding it very hard to concentrate given all the vibrations and turbulence of this festive mode of transportation!

---

I've been focused on getting the new computer rendering but I had to relent and render this with trusty old computer. Getting DAZ3D to recognize all my custom textures and other files is tedious work (especially because I moved them all to one SSD instead of having the files in different smaller drives). I'm glad I paused for this month because I'd feel horrible about the real slowdown of progress otherwise...

Here I've also attached a town map I had been messing with earlier this month with plans to allow Sparkle to visit different places while in town. This is not the final map obviously and I'm still not sure I'm even going to use a map (because I'm not happy with any I've done so far) but there definitely will be several places to visit in town.

As for story progress, I plan on writing through the trip to Humblehooch and making the next release end after Sparkle has the opportunity to explore the new town. This should give everyone a hefty bit of content for such a long wait.

Thank you everyone! Have a safe and happy candy-filled weekend!

I've had several messages on this and the consensus is that the map idea is going in the wrong direction. I've decided to scrap it because it's important to keep the flow and feel of the game consistent. There will still be places to visit in town but those options will be choices as that has been the game standard thus far.

Mixed feels on the map idea. It would be nifty from a game mechanic perspective and could allow for more individual routes. But also seems to be a major change to how the story and game play has flowed so far. Is this something that truly is needed for this version? Is it an idea you can save for a sequel or next naughty game? If you do want help with map design though feel free to poke me on Discord! Would be happy to help. I love doing layout and building work like that.
