The new F.Y.N.N.'s Room

The Furality Creative Team recently published a complete remake of F.Y.N.N.’s Room.

The original version of the world served almost as a museum of past Furality Online Xperience events - so that attendees could relive memories from past conventions, and share those spaces with friends who might be visiting them for the first time.

Throughout 2021, there was a growing desire within the team for F.Y.N.N.’s Room to become a general hangout world for the VR furry community, where people could enjoy each other’s company in the time between conventions - so the Creative Team set out to remake the world from the ground-up, with the aim of crafting a cozier and more inviting space.

For the areas representing past events, however, it wasn’t a matter of merely copying & pasting their previous work; worlds originally purpose-built for conventions would have to be adapted to serve a new purpose in F.Y.N.N.’s Room, or even created from scratch. Part of this was driven by the need to capture the essence of each convention’s theme, but within just a single world.

Comfy and familiar elements were either made from scratch, or brought in from previous worlds - such as the crystal campfire from Furality Luma

Cozy lounge areas in F.Y.N.N.’s Room

You can hang out in a furniture-store-turned-Villain-hideout in the Furality Legends area, where there’s an old TV you can play videos and livestreams on. The Creative Team discovered that it’s the best way to watch a certain movie about a bee.
