not much new to report- work continues. you already know what im working on, and youre sooo super excited for it.

if you find this stuff interesting, more research work to report- i decided i have to amass all adult swim dvds. luckily, i already seem to have grabbed most of the ones that are now expensive back when they first came out. i would not want to be stuck browsing ebay for these things now-

 i do regret selling some of my old collection, but replacing them hasnt been too bad so far.

 these dvds, not just the shows but the packaging and menus themselves, the general attitude of confrontational weirdness, were huge influences on my artistic development in the 2000s.

as seasons would go on, williams street's dvd releases would get weirder and more experimental, with the audio of crew members screwing around on the guitar overlayed atop bizarre imagery.

i think ive mentioned it before, but the cover art to space ghost volume 3 was a particular influence on me- i mean look, thats like, '00s/'10s lamezone green there.

id also like to mention how cute it is that the dvd and psp umd versions of aqua teen volume 4 are the larger and smaller mooninite respectively:

perfect hair forever should have gotten a dvd. can someone tell williams street to hook that up for me. thanks.

oh i also got 12 seasons of south park and 7 seasons + some specials of robot chicken + titan maximum on dvd. i know, i know. just... look, youre just going to have to trust me on this for now, okay. more on this later.

anyway, thats enough of that, how about some stuff that i did now:

you may notice ive been continuing to play with thicker outlines, along with some pure black shadows. a few months ago, i watched the animated commercial for the snes game secret of evermore, as well as a few episodes of the 90s cartoon mighty max. i was struck by the looks, and have been experimenting with those elements ever since. like so:

  some rpg character type designs: other stuff:    i tried finding if anyone had done like. a gijinka of the merzbow pulse demon album art. i didnt find any. and then i just drew something sort of like that. but not really. kind of.  after drawing this last one, i realized shes basically dressed like gwenpool? this is pretty much how gwenpool dresses isnt it. its fine dont worry about it. see you next month
