At this moment… Tannin felt a powerful spiritual aura, one that had clearly reached the Maou level!
Facing Tannin's question, Ajuka smiled wryly.
“No… I never expected this child to hide so deeply!”
Ajuka even suspected that he himself would be in mortal danger if he went up against him.
“Can you guarantee that what you're seeing now is all of Shoyo's strength? No! Who knows how deeply this kid is hiding?!”
“The attack is coming!” Ajuka suddenly warned, sensing the intense spatial fluctuations around them.
[Chains of Heaven (Enkidu)!]
Golden spatial ripples surged around Tannin. From within them, silver chains from the Age of the Gods shot out, dozens of Chains of Heaven instantly bound Tannin’s massive body!
Shoyo’s attack had officially begun.
“RROOAARR~!”
Tannin roared, struggling to break free, but found that he couldn’t. Shoyo’s increased spiritual power greatly amplified the binding effect of the Chains. With Tannin’s enormous size, his Dragon King physique comparable to a small mountain range, there was no room to dodge. And it wasn’t over yet.
[Blade of Salvation! Manifest here!]
A radiant divine weapon glowing with the light of salvation began to materialize in Shoyo’s hand. At the same time, countless golden gates unfolded across the sky. From the mandala formation high above, tens of thousands of lightning bolts rained down like divine punishment!
"BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!!"
The earth cried out in pain as the lightning struck.
Within the divine storm, one could see faint illusions of weapons wielded by gods and Buddhas. This was the very technique Rama had once used to destroy an army of 140,000 Rakshasas in a single moment. The bolts rained down like a celestial meteor shower, glowing with the light of Dharma, righteousness itself.
While still bound, Tannin was relentlessly struck by the divine lightning!
---
“…Uhh… Tannin, good luck to you…”
Ajuka’s eyelids twitched violently. He saw Shoyo pull something else out from the golden spatial ripples, and just by the shape and aura alone, he already knew what it was.
The Brahmastra Bow!
One of the most powerful divine weapons wielded by Rama himself.
So the Chains of Heaven and the Blade of Salvation… were just stalling tactics. They were meant to inspire fear in Tannin before the final blow was delivered.
On the golden Brahmastra Bow, three arrows began to charge. The terrifying spiritual aura and divine momentum distorted the space around them. This was Rama’s greatest weapon, the divine golden bow, Brahmastra, and the three arrows gifted by Lord Shiva.
Each arrow, empowered by Brahma's divine force, embodied different aspects of the holy triad. When fired together, they were capable of annihilating the target completely.
Legend said a single arrow from this bow could pierce through three thousand worlds.
If Shoyo had already reached the level of Vishnu, with the unification of the ten great god avatars, he might truly be able to achieve that legendary feat. But for now… even making a Dragon King feel fear was enough.
“This arrow… won’t kill Tannin. But it’ll definitely push him to the brink of death. Just to the edge, I’ll pull him back after.”
Shoyo continued charging his attack, already more than ten seconds in. Those few seconds were made possible thanks to the Chains of Heaven and the divine equipment blessings. Dragons were known for their physical resilience, but not their divine resistance. So it was only a matter of time before Tannin broke free.
Shoyo even deliberately left an opening, a clear path through the barrage of lightning, because he wanted Tannin to feel fear directly, face to face.
“Shoyo… you really have a twisted sense of humor,” Ajuka muttered, watching Shoyo with a wry smile. He could clearly sense the terrifying spiritual power building within the youth… and the power of the arrow being prepared.
That gap wasn’t a weakness, it was intentional. He wanted Tannin to walk through it… and truly feel the dread of the divine.
“ROAR!!”
The bound Tannin finally broke free! His enormous Dragon King body pushed forward through the blinding lightning.
“Kid! Don’t underestimate Dragon Kings!”
His steps were heavy and slow, but firm and determined. He was advancing, towards Shoyo.
“I didn’t underestimate you,” Shoyo replied, shaking his head. “I’ve been serious this entire time. Haven’t you noticed?”
And then, Shoyo pulled out another item from his treasury.
“HOLY !”
Tannin couldn’t help but curse. The aura from this new divine weapon wasn’t much weaker than the Brahmastra Bow!
Because Shoyo needed time to fully charge the Brahmastra, he had no choice but to let someone else attack for him.
A heroic and majestic figure began to materialize, gripping the newly summoned divine bow.
It was Shoyo’s Rama avatar. Although he couldn’t channel the full power of Rama’s main body, it was no issue to summon an avatar capable of acting on its own.
In Tannin’s stunned eyes, the Rama avatar calmly drew the divine bow, without needing to charge up at all!
[Beast Lord’s Divine Armament – Shiva’s Destroyer Bow!]
FWOOOOSH!
Rama loosed the arrow, and it split into thousands of light arrows in mid-air! Shoyo had summoned the avatar purely to buy time. This was the legendary bow Rama had broken at King Janaka’s ceremony to win Sita’s hand, and the one passed to Sita as her own divine weapon.
The arrows, constructed from pure magic, could automatically split, track the enemy, and be detonated mid-flight. Whether used for containment or full-scale bombardment, Shoyo considered it the most reliable and convenient divine weapon in his arsenal.
"TZZ TZZ TZZ! BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!!"
The light arrows exploded upon impact with Tannin! Each carried destructive power at the Maou level, instantly leaving Tannin in a ragged and passive state.
“DAMN IT! Where the hell did this monster come from?!”
Tannin growled in frustration.
“Ajuka sama! You say this is your disciple?! I feel like I’m fighting someone at the level of the Four Great Maous! Where the hell did you find this freak!?
For half a minute, Tannin had been dodging the endless light arrows. His dragon scales were shredded, flesh torn, splattering across the training ground. If this had been in the past, he might have felt thrilled to fight such an opponent. But right now? The other side looked like he was just getting warmed up.
And that divine bow, the one that didn’t even need charging, was already doing this much.
So what about the other one?
The one Shoyo had been charging for so long?
Tannin wasn’t like the battle-freak Evil Dragons. He was still rational, and for the first time in a long while, he felt fear.
But that fear only escalated in the next moment.
Because…
Shoyo’s charge… was complete.
After a long, drawn-out buildup, Shoyo finally reached full power.
[One Arrow to Return to Heaven, the End of the Three Realms, Brahmashira!]
“Go.”
A beam of golden divine light shot from the bow, so bright, so fierce, it looked as if it could pierce heaven and earth. It was the legendary divine arrow, said to have the power to destroy all three realms, to shatter the three thousand worlds.
And it had just been fired.
