Chapter 81: Arthur After Alter!!

Ordinary vampires could only control one Familiar at a time, and very few could manage two. But to simultaneously command three Familiars and then merge them—such a feat raised the difficulty exponentially.

“This guy…” The Forgotten War King sighed. “He’s fighting here and even using his trump card... It seems my palace is finished.”

Just as the Forgotten War King finished speaking, the powerful Familiar charged toward Arthur. Its massive form and ferocious expression made its terrifying nature unmistakable.

Bang!!

Arthur didn’t make any extra movements. He simply extended one hand. Just one hand. A straightforward punch—yet backed by overwhelming physical power and explosive force!

At the moment of impact between Arthur’s fist and the serpent, the creature began to crumble—its body collapsing bit by bit!

Smack!!!

The shattered serpent disintegrated into countless fragments, vanishing into thin air.

“Haha, great! Great!!” Vatler raised both hands high. The giant serpent reassembled in the air once more. “Go!!!”

In the next instant, a huge beam of magical energy erupted from the serpent’s mouth. The massive light beam surged straight toward Arthur.

As Arthur’s body clashed with the magical energy, a powerful barrier flared to life around him—the Wind King Barrier, unleashed at full power! The magical beam and the barrier collided violently!

The force of the magical energy caused Arthur to slide back half a step. But then—his foot moved. The Wind King Barrier roared behind him, and the explosive wind burst outward, knocking everyone present—except the War King—off balance.

Arthur began walking step by step toward the giant serpent.

“How is it possible?! How did he block such powerful magical attack?!”

But Arthur didn’t fear the attack. He bent his leg, and in an instant, his calf exploded with force! Arthur rocketed forward like a cannonball!

All anyone could feel was a gust of wind as Arthur punched the giant serpent directly on the chin! The magical beam's trajectory shifted violently—blasting straight through the palace ceiling!

Boom boom boom!

The rooftop shattered instantly.

“What terrifying power… but how could he remain unscathed after taking such an attack?!”

Everyone stared in awe at the destruction, their fear of Arthur's strength growing even deeper.

His expression still as cold as iron, Arthur grabbed the serpent’s tail. With one fierce motion—he whipped it forward.

The giant serpent became a massive weapon in his hands.

Whoosh whoosh whoosh!

With tremendous power, Arthur swung the serpent like a monstrous whip, its massive body crashing through the confined space. The ground—destroyed. The walls—gouged. Deep scars formed wherever the beast struck.

“Heh. Die!!” Arthur roared as he continued to swing, threatening to raze the entire palace to the ground.

“Stop watching! Attack!!” The War King could no longer sit idle. He issued the command instantly, and the sky filled with magic of every color. Countless magical attacks rained down on Arthur.

Unmoved, Arthur kept swinging the serpent! Horizontal! Vertical! With unmatched martial prowess, he created a perfect defense, blocking every magical strike with the serpent’s massive form.

“Use Familiars!”

Someone among them finally realized that ordinary attacks were useless. The vampires summoned their strongest trump cards: their Familiars!

Eagles. Wyverns. Tigers. Deer. The sky became a chaotic battlefield filled with creatures—some Arthur had seen, many he had not.

“Attack!!” At the War King's command, all vampires launched their assault. Arthur raised his gaze to the sky.

Magical beams rained down like a storm. The entire sky shimmered with radiant magical colors.

Boom! Boom! The Familiars’ attacks fell one after another, releasing devastating force. Arthur kept swinging the serpent, dispersing much of the assault.

But Vatler’s Familiar could no longer endure. After blocking several waves of attacks, the serpent finally collapsed into magical dust and disappeared into the sky.

The palace, pummeled by the magical onslaught, had completely collapsed—reduced to nothing but rubble.

“Is… is he dead?”

One of the vampire nobles stared at the ruins, swallowing hard. To survive such destruction… that would be the mark of a true monster.

But—

Bang!!!

A crater erupted from the rubble below, smoke bursting into the sky. Arthur’s figure reappeared beneath the it!

Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!

Arthur no longer held back. Dark, overwhelming magic surged from his body, piercing the clouds. Its intensity was on par with that of a True Ancestor!

Amidst the swirling magic, a black greatsword took shape. The moment it appeared, all the vampires sensed its deadly aura. Even the War King was taken aback—it had been ages since he’d seen a weapon of such overwhelming power!

“Attack!!”

Several gigantic Familiars charged forward. But Arthur didn’t flinch. He raised the black Excalibur high, his presence like that of the Grim Reaper descending from the heavens.

He slashed toward the sky!

A powerful wind burst across the battlefield. Several Familiars were shredded into particles of magical energy—instantly erased.

“Since you’re all so stubborn—then die!”

Arthur didn’t waste a single motion. At that moment, he became like an abyss, silently devouring everything in his path.

He swung his sword with fury, unleashing a massive wind blade into the sky!

The blade flashed—and vanished.

Moments later, high in the sky, multiple Familiars were cut to pieces. Their powerful forms destroyed in a single strike!

Those few vampires fortunate enough to be standing far away looked up—only to find their hands trembling, eyes wide with horror.

Then… they noticed something strange.

Faint red lines appeared across their bodies.

The red lines expanded—rapidly.

Their chests burst open—internal organs flying out—blood spraying into the air like a gruesome, crimson rain!

They were cut in half—bodies torn apart like their Familiars before them.

The vampires watching were paralyzed with fear.

But they didn’t realize—

That strike… was merely the appetizer.

“Are you ready… you pitiful ants?!”

At that moment—

The world lost its color.
