Chapter 86: Itogami City
Added 2025-06-06 12:30:02 +0000 UTCOn the vast ocean, the fresh sea breeze, the lovely seascape, and the beautiful sunshine were all so wonderful.
Amid this beautiful sea stood a magnificent maritime city. Here, all sorts of strange existences lived together. The island was built using various materials and housed sea monsters, vampires, beastmen, elves, and many other beings.
This was—Itogami City!
And in this world, there were several special existences... beings truly immortal. They were the most powerful—True Ancestors of this world!
The First True Ancestor — the Forgotten War King!
The Second True Ancestor — the Eye of Extinction!
The Third True Ancestor — the Chaos Empress!
And the legendary existence, the Fourth True Ancestor!
It was said that the Fourth True Ancestor was neither dead nor alive. He had no kin, did not seek dominion, and merely controlled avatars of disaster—the Twelve Familiars.
At this moment, even as the Fourth True Ancestor remained unaware of these events, two figures had already arrived on the island.
The man was dressed casually, but even in his simple attire, he exuded a refined elegance and an indescribable aura. In his arms was an adorable little girl, dressed in a princess gown and a noble little hat, looking irresistibly cute. Unfortunately, she currently wore a deeply displeased expression as she kicked her small legs unhappily in the air.
“Arthur... I don’t want to come here! This place is boring! Those guys, those groups—” she referred to the Knights of the Round Table—“any one of them could take on the rest. What’s the point of coming here?”
She pouted hard, kicking her legs as if she might burst into tears if Arthur didn’t coax her soon.
Arthur reached out and poked her pink cheeks with his fingers. “Alright, alright. We’ll take care of those guys later, and then I’ll buy you chocolate. How about that?”
The moment she heard the word “chocolate,” her eyes sparkled. She held out her tiny pinky finger.
“We pinky promise!”
“Okay, pinky promise! Hang for a hundred years—no changes allowed!”
The little girl’s eyes curved like crescent moons as she smiled brightly. Arthur also looked at her with affection. At ten years old, she was at her most innocent. During this time, he would do everything to take care of her and make up for the childhood she never had.
Arthur left with the little girl. Along the way, many passersby turned their heads to look, though most of their attention was focused on the girl in Arthur’s arms.
The men—especially some of the older ones—had eyes that gleamed green. The younger ones, meanwhile, turned into strange creatures called “l*licons.”
Those who looked at Arthur, however, often wore expressions filled with icy disdain. But Arthur didn’t care about the opinions of these trash.
The little girl clung to Arthur’s neck, her bottom seated comfortably on his arm. She giggled at the nearby shops, her laughter like silver bells ringing through the streets.
Her innocent laughter was so pure it touched the hearts of those nearby—but not everyone harbored good intentions.
Arthur, noticing her excitement, gently pinched her cheek and smiled. “How about your big brother takes you around today?”
Her eyes gleamed again, and she happily waved her tiny arms.
“Okay! Okay! Big brother is the best!”
Arthur chuckled, patted her head, and straightened her little hat. The two of them were enjoying a peaceful time—until someone came to disturb it.
A scruffy man with a beard stood in front of them, his eyes glued to the little girl in Arthur’s arms. He rushed forward, shouting at Arthur, “Quick! Quickly hand over the little girl in your arms—no, the little girl!”
“…No, you’re seriously messed up in the head.” Arthur’s face was full of black lines. If not for the child in his arms, he would’ve drawn his sword long ago. He wasn’t just insulting the man—he was holding back.
“Give her to me!!!” The man lunged forward, veins bulging from his hands. He clearly possessed some level of strength—at least by ordinary standards.
But Arthur wasn’t ordinary.
He raised a finger toward the man’s heart—whoosh! A magic bullet shot out and pierced straight through.
Normally, Arthur wouldn’t have been so ruthless. But just moments ago, he had sensed something: this man wasn’t merely a pervert—he had ulterior motives!
The man collapsed to the ground. Arthur knelt, pulling a phone from the man’s pocket. A message was displayed on the screen:
“The master is impatient! Have you found the target?”
There was also a reply:
“I have found the person the master requested. Don’t worry, we will definitely offer the master the most delicious blood.”
“Master? Blood?” Arthur’s brows furrowed. “So that’s what this is about…”
It seemed a vampire had targeted the little girl’s blood. No wonder this man had gone crazy.
Arthur tossed the phone away and was about to leave with the girl when he noticed another group of people had blocked his path.
And those people… each wore bracelets on their wrists—demon registration certificates!
