Chapter 89: First Lesson

Natsuki Minamiya's villa.

Arthur was cooking.

Don’t ask why Arthur could cook—it was probably because the mushroom wanted Arthur to better fit the perfect knight setting. As a result, Arthur came with superb cooking skills and was acknowledged by Ayaka Sajyo in the original work.

Arthur didn’t actually need to eat much, but since he wasn’t a Heroic Spirit in the truest sense, he would still cook meals from time to time. Moreover, little Gilgamesh had taken a liking to Arthur’s cooking after trying it once. This was perfectly normal—even the King of Heroes’ meals weren’t necessarily better than Arthur’s.

Arthur made a few dishes for the little girl and brewed a pot of black tea. Then, he quietly began reading the newspaper. This calm, domestic scene gradually eased his heart.

“Um, can I try your black tea?”

At that moment, Natsuki Minamiya, who had noticed Arthur's actions, looked at the fragrant cup of black tea in his hand and asked adorably.

“Please,” Arthur replied, pouring another cup of tea for her.

“Hmm?” Natsuki took a small sip. Suddenly, a special light shone in her eyes.

“This taste is amazing!!!”

“I’m glad you like it,” Arthur said, watching Natsuki take small sips with a blissful expression. He found himself quietly enjoying the moment.

Eventually, Natsuki finished her tea and looked at Arthur curiously.

“What are you looking at?”

“Nothing,” Arthur replied, snapping out of his thoughts.

“I say, Natsuki-chan.”

“Don’t add ‘-chan’ to my name!!” The moment the honorific was spoken, Natsuki’s expression changed dramatically.

“What’s the big deal? My age is similar to yours. But my appearance has long been fixed, so you’ll never see me age.”

“You won’t age either?” Natsuki seemed to recall something about herself and quietly looked at Arthur.

“But that’s also pretty good,” Arthur replied casually.

“By the way, Natsuki, you didn’t just come over for a cup of tea, did you?”

“Of course not.” Natsuki took out a certificate and handed it to him. “This is your letter of appointment. You’ll be working at our school from now on!”

“A teacher?”

“That’s right,” she nodded. This was the best arrangement—it allowed her to observe Arthur closely while also being able to respond flexibly. A perfect solution.

Arthur picked up the letter and read it:

Middle School Department, English Teacher.

As the King Arthur of Britain, he obviously knew English.

“A teacher… I never thought I’d have this opportunity.” Arthur sighed, gazing up at the sky, recalling his helpless student days. Who would’ve thought he’d return to school—not as a student, but as a teacher?

“Report to the school at noon. Don’t forget,” Natsuki said before vanishing like mist.

As a responsible teacher, she was always punctual. Arthur nodded, picked up little Gilgamesh, and directly sent her back to Britain.

Itogami City – Ayahama Academy, Middle School Department...

“Hello, are you the new English teacher who just arrived?”

A beautiful woman stood in front of Arthur. She wore a Chinese cheongsam that revealed her long, tender legs. Her hair was tied in twin buns, and she had an impressively ample chest. Her demeanor was bright and cheerful as she led Arthur toward his destination.

She was Misaki Sasazaki—a name that was oddly hard to remember. Misaki was a homeroom teacher in the middle school department, Arthur’s colleague, and also Natsuki’s assistant.

At that moment, Arthur felt incredibly nervous.

Even when facing Angra Mainyu, he hadn’t felt this anxious. But now? This… was different.

“Hello, Misaki Sasazaki,” Arthur greeted politely. “Please take care of me from now on.”

“Haha,” Misaki laughed. “No problem at all.”

“In that case,” Arthur smiled, “I’ll have to trouble you...”

“Alright!” Misaki replied cheerfully. “Now, I’ll take you to meet your students!”

Arthur followed her and pushed open the classroom door.

Inside, a group of young students turned their eyes toward him. Arthur walked confidently to the podium and began his introduction.

“Hello everyone, my name is Arthur Pendragon. You may call me Teacher King. I hope we can all get along happily in the future.”

The classroom immediately buzzed with excitement.

“Wow!! That male teacher is so handsome!!”

“Yeah, and he’s so gentlemanly!”

“Exactly!!!”

Arthur could feel the admiring gazes from many of the girls, while the boys looked at him with complicated expressions.

“It seems my performance isn’t bad,” he thought to himself.

“My class needs a class representative. Does anyone want to help the teacher?”

“Me!!”

“Teacher, me!!!”

Many hands shot up—most of them girls. Arthur didn’t choose anyone in particular, but one adorable girl with pigtails stood out due to her enthusiasm.

Arthur pointed to her directly. “Well then, you will help the teacher.”

“Mm-hmm!!” The girl nodded adorably.

“By the way, student, what’s your name?” Arthur asked. Something about her looked oddly familiar.

“Teacher, my name is Nagisa Akatsuki,” she replied cheerfully.

And with that, Arthur instantly realized why she seemed so familiar.

Thus began Arthur’s first class. By the end of it, he was covered in sweat—it had been more exhausting than a battlefield.

Thankfully, no strange students asked any strange questions, which eased his mind.

Arthur’s first class was a complete success.
