Chapter 98: Sayaka Kirasaka
Added 2025-06-17 08:55:14 +0000 UTCLate at night, Arthur lay on his bed, silently pondering the words he had spoken to Yukina Himeragi earlier that day. Indeed, what was he truly pursuing?
"I have always considered myself the original King Arthur, and I have always strived for King Arthur's dream, but I have gradually lost myself. Because I am still that King Arthur—always have been."
Arthur gazed at the night sky outside the window. He thought of his battles, of every action he had taken. What he didn’t realize was that when he became King Arthur, he had actually been influenced by King Arthur’s consciousness. Although it hadn’t affected him drastically, his behavior had slowly begun to shift. He truly had to thank the Evil of This World; if not for its appearance, he might have continued to be influenced by King Arthur—always putting others’ happiness before his own.
"Heh, to think I’d have such thoughts."
"What are you talking about?" The door creaked open gently, and Jeanne Alter silently stepped in. She had been about to go to sleep but had heard Arthur’s soliloquy and, curious, came in directly.
"Jeanne Alter, you’re here." Arthur softly took her hand and gently pulled her to sit by the side of his bed.
Jeanne Alter’s small face flushed. What is he going to do? It can’t be...
Arthur looked at her adorable face, finding it immensely beautiful. He leaned forward and gently pressed his lips against hers.
"Mmm..."
Arthur kept kissing her. Perhaps he had figured it out—since she had feelings for him, why not seize the moment? He reached out and gently slipped his hand inside Jeanne Alter’s pajamas. His fingers brushed against her warm, soft skin. He rolled over, placing her beneath him.
"It feels so good. Darling, will you give yourself to me?"
"Huh? You... you... bad guy. You’ve already done this to me, and you still ask?" Jeanne Alter’s face turned bright red. Arthur looked at the girl beneath him, who had completely surrendered. He gently removed her outer garment, revealing a body as enchanting as Venus.
"You... be gentle." Before Jeanne Alter could finish her words, she was silenced by waves of sensation and pain spreading through her body.
"Bad guy."
Everything was unfolding, immersed in a dreamlike euphoria.
They stopped only after who knew how long. Jeanne Alter lay exhausted in Arthur’s arms.
"You really don’t know how to cherish women, do you? You actually..."
"Actually what?" Arthur teased, looking at the beautiful girl beside him.
"Hmph!" Jeanne Alter’s face turned red again, and she pouted. "I’m ignoring you."
"You," Arthur said softly, holding her in his arms. "My dear, how do you think we can live a meaningful life?"
He looked down to find that the lovely girl in his arms had already fallen asleep, clearly worn out.
"Sleep, sleep." Gazing at the one he loved, Arthur understood his purpose. His task was to protect what he cherished—his task was to ensure his woman would never cry.
Arthur thought of the women around him. Each of them respected him deeply—perhaps they loved him. And he felt the same. If any of them left, he would likely be heartbroken.
"It’s so good to have you all with me."
Arthur held Jeanne Alter close and slowly drifted into sleep.
---
Dawn gradually broke. When Arthur opened his eyes, the cat-like girl in his arms was already gone.
"Seriously, she was clearly the older-sister type before. Why is she so shy now?" Arthur shook his head and sat up, beginning to tidy his appearance.
"Good morning."
As soon as Arthur opened the door, he found the living room empty. He walked over to the sofa and noticed a note on it. Judging by the delicate handwriting, it was from Natsuki.
It read:
Damn Arthur, the noise last night was so loud, and you got up so late. We didn’t wait for you—go to school yourself.
—Natsuki Minamiya
"Seriously, they didn’t even wait for me..." Arthur smiled wryly. Who knew the soundproofing in Natsuki Minamiya’s house was so bad?
"This is awkward."
Arthur shook his head slightly and left the house alone. As expected, Jeanne Alter was still resting. He wouldn’t wake her. Little Gilgamesh would be grumpy if she woke up, and she refused to eat food made by anyone other than Arthur, so he had no choice but to leave on his own.
With no morning classes, Arthur wasn’t in a rush. Bored, he wandered around the campus alone. Unbeknownst to him, a luxurious cruise ship was drawing closer to Itogami Island.
---
"My Fourth Progenitor, I’ve been waiting for you for so long!" At the very front of the cruise ship, Vattler, dressed in an elegant white suit, gazed toward Itogami Island.
His heart couldn’t wait to reach the island and pay respects to his beloved Fourth Progenitor. Beside him stood a beautiful young girl. Although her height neared 170 centimeters, she looked around fifteen or sixteen. With chestnut-colored long hair and snow-white skin, her face was strikingly beautiful. Her slender figure perfectly complemented her outfit.
She was Sayaka Kirasaka—like Yukina Himeragi, a member of the Lion King Organization and a highly skilled individual known as the “Weapon Princess.”
"Are you already impatient, Duke Vattler? I really wonder what kind of existence it is that interests you so much," Sayaka said politely.
Vattler turned to her with a bright smile. "You probably wouldn’t understand how important the Fourth Progenitor is to me! How much I long to meet him!"
"I’m very sorry, Duke Vattler. I understand your feelings, because the most important person to me is also there—and also beside a very dangerous person."
"A dangerous person? I really can’t imagine who would be considered dangerous by your Lion King Organization," Vattler chuckled. "If possible, I might be able to help you rescue her—considering our rather harmonious interactions these past two days."
"Then thank you very much, sir." Sayaka Kirasaka nodded with a smile. She didn’t know Arthur’s true identity, nor that he had once humiliated Vattler. If she knew, she probably wouldn’t be thanking him—she would tell him to turn around immediately.
"Duke, we are one day away from Itogami Island." A servant approached Vattler, bowed deeply, and informed him of their current location.
"Alright. In that case, let’s proceed at full speed."
Vattler tidied his wind-blown hair and returned to his room, leaving Sayaka Kirasaka gazing toward Itogami Island.
"Wait for me, Yukina-chan... I’ll definitely get there soon!!"
