Chapter 272: Magister Assessment

Noah didn't care whether Tony lost or not. In his opinion, Noah was bound to win in such matters.

As for teaching Tony magic?

If there was a one in ten thousand chance that Noah lost, he would admit it and report the situation to Master Ancient One.

After all, sometimes when luck is against you, even drinking cold water can get stuck in your teeth. It was possible that some small event, like a butterfly flapping its wings, might cause Potts to harm Tony.

Tony didn't return to New York immediately but stayed in London for a day.

He just held his phone and downloaded two movies of "Noah Finniel." As for paying?

What was that? It was just a few pounds, right?

But when Noah saw Tony the next day, he noticed that Tony was looking at him strangely.

Noah swore that he had seen this expression before—more than once. It made him a little upset.

"If you're going to say that I'm interested in little girls, just shut up," Noah interrupted Tony.

"Well, I understand. After all, it's a change of story, right?" Tony replied, his face cold. He quickly thought of something: "You’re only 28 years old?"

The first part of the movie explained Noah's origin—Noah was born in March 1980 in an orphanage in the ordinary world.

Of course, some details were altered. For instance, Ms. Heifen, the director of Noah's orphanage, was no longer just an ordinary person. She was an ordinary person with magical talent who had not accepted the invitation to study magic.

Ms. Heifen was now a magician, but her existence was bound to cause a lot of trouble. Even if the ancient wizard acknowledged it, Noah had to find a way to cover it up.

However, this change was successful. Now, many magicians were aware of Ms. Heifen’s existence.

"There are some changes, but most of it follows my story. And yes, I am only 28 years old. Do I look old?" Noah shrugged. At 28, he looked like a young man in his early twenties. Not old?

"Not old," Tony replied seriously. "But I always thought you were an ancient monster who had lived for hundreds of years and was just pretending to be young."

Noah rubbed his eyebrows. Tony's mouth was really something.

"The exam preparation begins. Please get ready, everyone."

Sitting in the lobby of Kamar-Taj, Noah looked at Mordo standing at the front. His mouth twitched unconsciously. He hadn’t expected the invigilator to be him.

After Noah and Tony separated, Noah went directly to Kamar-Taj, while Tony returned to New York.

Coincidentally, the day Tony left was exactly the day Noah was scheduled to take the exam.

Noah had already prepared for the exam and wasn’t worried about failing.

But he hadn’t expected the examiner to be Mordo, with Casillas among the other candidates.

Mordo had already passed the magician test and was now taking the same exam as Wong.

At that time, Noah had just broken through to the seventh level and was still consolidating his progress. So, Noah had proposed this test but didn’t participate. Instead, Wong, Mordo, and many others at the seventh level participated.

This exam was strict, testing not only magical power and knowledge but also willpower.

The willpower test was said to be something similar to the "Fantasy World" created by Master Ancient One, or a "Magic Array."

Noah had nothing to worry about, though. With the system, he could block out these tests easily.

What concerned Noah slightly was that Casillas seemed to have some issues. This appeared to be his second time taking the exam.

"What are you thinking about? You're about to take the exam, buddy. Aren’t you worried about failing?" Mordo’s voice pulled Noah from his thoughts.

"Is it possible?" Noah rolled his eyes. "If it weren’t for me stabilizing my magical power, you wouldn’t have become part of the first batch of magicians, okay?"

"You’re jealous, I can feel it," Mordo grinned, showing his teeth. "But the new transformation magic is impressive, although the name 'Dragonborn' could use some work. Still, it seems the results of this selection are quite good."

"You’re one of the candidates?" Noah raised his eyebrows. He didn’t expect Mordo to know so much.

"Not exactly, but I’m in Kamar-Taj, so I hear things," Mordo smiled. "Your research on improving physical fitness is quite good. Transformation magic may not be necessary for magicians, but it’s a good way to increase strength."

"Oh? Maybe I’ll be the first magician in history to win the 'Kamar-Taj Magic Award' twice," Noah said, grinning. He lowered his voice. "What’s going on with Casillas? Is this his second time taking the exam?"

"Yes," Mordo lowered his voice too. "Two years ago, he reached the seventh level and took the first magician exam, but the teacher was very angry."

"Really?" Noah stroked his chin. "What happened?"

"I don’t know. We don’t know what happened in the 'Fantasy World.' Only the teacher and he know," Mordo shook his head. "But enough with the questions. Focus on the exam, okay?"

Mordo placed the test paper on Noah's desk and walked away.

Although Mordo had spent a lot of time talking with Noah, no one blamed them. Everyone knew Mordo and Noah were both disciples of the Supreme Sorcerer and had a good relationship.

There were many magicians taking the exam, not just from Kamar-Taj but also from independent magic organizations.

Noah glanced at the test paper. These questions weren’t difficult. Although some were a bit offbeat, they were nothing to him.

So, as soon as Mordo handed out the test papers and announced the start of the exam, Noah started answering.

"The structure of space magic? A free point. Most Kamar-Taj magicians know this, right?"

"The construction ratio of elemental magic? I’m sure the independent magic organizations know this best, but unfortunately, I know it too."

"The body function system of a dragon? Another free point? Well, in a way, I am a dragon."

"What’s the independent magic organization in London? Is it the York Magic Association?"

Noah answered quickly while other magicians were still trying to figure out the questions, some even casting spells to confirm their answers.

The exam covered a wide range of topics—magic construction, magical creatures, magic history. If a magician’s knowledge wasn’t broad enough, they might fail.

The exam lasted two hours, but Noah finished in about an hour and spent the rest of the time resting.

Looking at the answers in his system space, Noah was confident he’d get full marks.

"How do you feel?" Wong and Ms. Heifen, who had come with Noah, immediately approached him after he left the examination room.

"It was okay, not difficult," Noah smiled confidently. "At least, it wasn’t difficult for me."

"Really?" Wong smiled and touched his head. "I remember when I took the exam last year, I was really anxious. Those questions were tough. But the most difficult part wasn’t the exam questions—it was the 'Fantasy World' exam."

Noah nodded but didn’t mention that the beginning of the 'Fantasy World' exam was probably the easiest part for him.

Sometimes, Noah wondered what his character was like, but he didn’t want to leave a bad impression on Master Ancient One.

So, he often asked his system, but the answers it gave left Noah speechless.

Noah wasn’t from this world; as long as he followed the right values, he had no issues.

Shaking his head, Noah stopped thinking about it. He turned to Ms. Heifen. "Avril, when do you plan to take the wizard exam?"

"It depends," Ms. Heifen smiled. "Maybe next year. But I think you should think about it and take the next round of exams."

"Don’t worry, I’m confident," Noah shrugged. "But I heard the 'Fantasy World' exam takes more than ten hours, and that makes me uncomfortable."

The 'Fantasy World' exam was held at night due to its long duration, and most candidates would be asleep during the test.

At the same time, Tony was stepping off a plane, just returning to New York from London.

Without the help of magic, Tony couldn’t just teleport like Noah; he had to take a plane.

"Where are we going, boss? To the company, or..." Tony’s bodyguard, Happy, asked while sitting in the car.

"Go home directly," Tony replied, his voice serious. "I have some things to deal with."
