Chapter 442: Find a New Agent?

Fury was incredibly reliable; it only took him half an hour to bring Noah everything he needed. For pistols, Fury thought for a long time and finally gave Noah M10 series pistols, which were currently in use by the military.

Noah didn't research the bullets; to him, they all looked the same, but Jason and Wick seemed very satisfied. Most importantly, Fury actually got two senior agent IDs and handed them to Noah and Constantine. These IDs came with investigative powers and some enforcement rights. To be honest, these were fake IDs because everything on them, except for the photos, was fake!

"Arthur Morgan? John Marston?" Noah looked at his ID, then at Constantine's ID, and his expression suddenly became strange. He felt like Fury had been playing some game recently, which made his naming sense so weird now. But... that game shouldn't have been released yet at this point in time, right? Coincidence or something else?

"Why did you give us these names?" Noah held back for a long time, then couldn't help but ask.

"Red Dead Redemption," Fury said as a matter of course.

"A novel by Jack Marston, a very interesting story about a group of cowboys and their redemption. I really like this story, so I used it. By the way, I recommend you read it if you have nothing to do."

"..."

Jack Marston? John Marston's son? That little kid who bothered Arthur to go fishing all day?

Noah stroked his chin. Could it be that the Van der Linde gang existed in this world a hundred years ago? But Noah quickly stopped thinking about it; he was already used to such things.

However, Noah remained uncertain whether the original owner of his current name had a wolf ending or a deer ending. Constantine, on the other hand, didn't care about these things at all. To him, any name was fine, even his original name. So, after clarifying these matters, Noah and his group left.

During this time, Wick remained silent. He was truly confused about who these people were and why they had such a good relationship with such a huge organization.

To be honest, he was both worried and happy. He was worried that if Noah changed his mind when facing such a huge organization, his situation would become even more difficult. But having such a massive organization as a backing, if they kept their promises, Wick would definitely never have any trouble again.

With a conflicted feeling, Wick drove Noah and the other two into the car again. This time, their destination was the Continental Hotel in New York. The Continental Hotel was the High Table's hub for connecting assassins worldwide. In this place, you could only pay with their specially minted gold coins, and almost all assassins received protection there, except for those wanted by the High Table.

There was a rule in the Continental Hotel: no matter who you were or how much animosity you had, you couldn't fight inside. And this hotel also provided exceptionally high-quality service, making it a place all assassins around the world yearned for.

Noah was only curious about such a place because he had never been there before. To be honest, this hotel was indeed quite dangerous, because almost every well-dressed person, or even shabby-looking person, inside was an excellent assassin.

"Welcome, Mr. Bourne, Mr. Wick." The concierge at the New York Continental Hotel was a black man named Charon, also an exceptionally skilled assassin, though he had chosen a relatively stable lifestyle now.

"Three rooms," Jason didn't waste words, directly throwing three gold coins to Charon. "Eighth floor, good view."

"No problem, Mr. Bourne, but..." Charon didn't take the gold coins immediately but looked at Noah and Constantine with confusion. "These two gentlemen are..."

"Arthur Morgan, and John Marston," Noah stepped forward and looked at the concierge, smiling slightly as he spoke. In an instant, Charon seemed to feel a suffocating sensation well up within him. That feeling was as if he was facing an incredibly terrifying demon! Charon was an assassin, so he was naturally very familiar with various temperaments.

Facing this person who seemed to be named Arthur Morgan, he actually felt fear! How many years had it been since he felt this way? Charon wasn't sure; he had almost forgotten such a feeling, especially as an assassin, he shouldn't even have such a feeling as fear!

Charon forced himself to calm down. This was the Continental Hotel, after all.

"Hello, Mr. Morgan, and Mr. Marston." Charon forced a smile. "It seems you two must be readers of Red Dead Redemption, a perfect novel. Welcome to the Continental Hotel. Your rooms are all on the eighth floor, rooms 815, 816, and 817."

"Thank you," Noah nodded calmly. He had no idea how much pressure he was putting on Mr. Charon. Wick seemed to notice Charon's abnormality, but he still remained silent. After briefly asking if the current owner of the hotel had changed, Wick also received his room key. His usual room was 818 on the eighth floor, right next to Noah and the others.

Perhaps Wick had a very good relationship with the owner here, so as he left, Charon suddenly called out to Wick, clearly wanting to talk to him. "Mr. Wick, there are some things I feel I must warn you about, for the protection of our guests," Charon whispered to Wick.

"Someone has put a bounty on you, and this person seems to hate you to the bone. Their reward is very high, and they even announced that if you are killed in the hotel, the person who did it will receive double the reward."

"I understand. I expected as much," Wick sighed and nodded. "Thank you for the information. Goodbye."

"Goodbye, Mr. Wick," Charon also nodded. "Here, you are absolutely safe, at least for now."

Wick didn't say much but took his luggage and his dog towards the elevator. Along the way, Wick also saw many acquaintances, but some of these acquaintances looked at him normally, while others looked very abnormal. Wick knew what this meant, but Wick didn't care too much. If these guys from Noah hadn't appeared, he would probably be dead by now! Even if he wasn't dead, his dog would probably not be spared. Wick remembered very clearly that they were about to hurt his dog at that time.

And now, it was not difficult to understand that they had put a bounty on him. In Wick's mind, since things had come to this, all he could do was eliminate these people! And by the way, for his future life, he would help these guys in front of him, and at the same time, make some necessary preparations, such as them going back on their word.

"I have to say, this hotel seems pretty good," When the group entered their rooms and put away their luggage, they instinctively gathered in Noah's room, and Noah took a good look at the room.

"It's alright, a very retro feel," Constantine plopped down on the sofa and took off his hat, which was pulled down so low it almost covered his face. "Damn it, I actually have to cover my face? I've never experienced anything like this."

"Is it because you think you're handsome and don't need to?" Noah tilted his head. "Alright, stop talking nonsense.

Wick, take us to see the manager here later, Winston, right?"

"Yes," Wick nodded. "He's the manager here, and he knows a lot of information. My relationship with him..."

"I know your relationship is good, Wick," Noah smiled.

"Don't worry, Wick. Our purpose isn't what you imagine, and such a huge assassin organization, its existence must have its necessity, and what we have to do is to
maximize that necessity."

Constantine rolled his eyes when he heard Noah's words. For some reason, he felt that this guy who looked like him seemed to be going down the same path as him?

Existence has necessity? Wasn't he fooled by this guy back then?

Noah naturally had his own ideas. Although he disliked this assassin organization, which had completely deviated from what he knew of assassins those with firm will and adherence to creed he had two options. One was to completely annihilate them, and the other was to take over entirely and find a new agent.

Obviously, Noah had considered it for a long time and decided on the second option. Such a massive institution and organization, along with its interlocking chain of interests and relationships, could be said to be a terrifyingly enormous entity. At first, Noah indeed intended to destroy it, but now Noah had new ideas.

Having Fury create something new that could replace SHIELD meant that Fury probably wouldn't be able to return to his original level for a while. Noah didn't want this kind of mess to happen, because in that case, Fury's power would become very small. Of course, Noah wouldn't give this organization to Fury, because that wouldn't align with Noah's ideas.

As for the manager of this organization? Noah had some immature ideas, and of course, Noah didn't know or care if they would succeed; that's something to discuss later.

However, Noah didn't know that Fury, who he had just thought of, was also feeling quite uncomfortable now, because he seemed to have found conclusive evidence that the inside of SHIELD was indeed far from simple.

Just as Noah said, SHIELD was already in grave danger!

And Fury also planned a dangerous attempt: to see if he could shut down that damned Project Insight through the World Security Council.
