Deck of Hearts Demo 1 BUGFIX - 8/23/25

Deck of Hearts is still very much a work in progress, but I think there's enough right now to give everyone a proof of concept for how this (and later PoW and CD) are going to work in Renpy. There's only a couple of choices to make in this demo, but with multiple backgrounds to choose from, there's plenty of stuff to explore as-is.

Keep in mind that the Trophy Room and Gallery are not working correctly right now, so don't bother reporting issues with them because I already know. What does work though is the Art toggle button. Basically, there's the official artwork included in the game, but then if you use 'modded' content (for those that prefer more realism in their games) then you can press the art toggle to swap at any time between them during any scene.

This version comes packed with that and the appropriate patches but later versions will keep all of that stuff separate. A new PoW should be out tomorrow, but I wanted to get this out first.

EDIT ('alpha2' Bugfix): This update replaces a lot of the illustrations for Brooke/Lily/Sophia to make them bustier. In addition, it addresses a lot of issues related to the settings menu (things should be clearer when they're active or not, there's a mute/unmute button that actually works, and you can test voice/sound channels while adjusting volume). PoW probably won't be out tonight after all because I took care of this stuff but that'll be soon. I now correctly have builds for Mac and PC, but when i did a test run of an Android build I learned that I need to do a lot more work on how stuff is depicted on mobile so that/iphone builds will be worked on for the next real release.
