After Norman ran around the house shrieking for half an hour, he finally collapsed in a chair. When his mother entered the room, he looked up at her with glazed eyes, no doubt half out of his mind with confused horror.

“Are you finished, young lady?” his mother asked in measured tone of voice.

Norman only stared, struck speechless by the strange new sensations of his body.

“Yes, my dear, you’re now female. Entirely female, as you can plainly see—and feel, I imagine. When you went in for your physical a few months ago, I had you sedated and flown to a private hospital. That is where you were altered. You arrived back yesterday, and your sisters and I have been eagerly waiting for you to wake.”

“W-Why?” Norman managed, tears pricking the corners of his pretty eyes.

“Why? Well, for your own good, obviously. I’m not a psychopath. See, for so many years you’ve just been terrible to your sisters and me. Remember how many times I had to lock myself in the bathroom while you raged and punched holes in the wall? Honestly, honey, for years we’ve lived in fear of you. But we waited patiently, figuring once you turned eighteen you’d move out.” His mother sighed and shook her head. “But that was two years ago, and you’re still here. The truth is, you just don’t fit in with a house fill of girls. So, with hormones and a little snip and tuck, I fixed the problem.”

Norman’s lip quivered. “Is… is it permanent?”

“Well, of course it’s permanent,” his mom replied. “Now, try not to be too upset. This is what’s best for the family. Now go find something to wear in your sister’s closet. I imagine there’s a skirt and heels in your new size.”

“A skirt?”

“Well, yes. Unless you want to go to the mall naked!”
