I had incredible fun revisiting the world of Pleasure Drone in this sequel. It's zany sci-fi fun!

Thanks, Gemma! I always envisioned Alice's humor as this dry, almost accidental thing. Sheβs not programmed to be funny, but her logic and literal interpretations just happen to land that way. π And yeah, Corinne is absolutely reveling in this power shift. Their whole dynamic is built on this push and pull, and suddenly she has this massive advantage. It's not just about the pleasure drone body for her, it's about finally having David in a position where she can call the shots, literally and figuratively. It's payback, but it's also, I think, something she secretly enjoys on a deeper level. Their rivalry is so tangled up with their attraction, and this just adds another layer to it.

2025-01-17 16:44:03 +0000 UTCEmory, beautifully written but the first page scientifically incorrect. (in other words is more fiction than science) Can everyone in space hear you scream? In space, the vacuum of space prevents the propagation of sound waves, so there is no air to carry sound. Therefore, if you screamed in space, there would be no medium to transmit sound waves and no one would be able to hear you. Alice as an AI should know this, or load her some update where Adam Savage does an experiment in one of the βMythbustersβ episodes on whether sound is transmitted in a tube where there is a vacuum. Very informative! "Mythbusters" rules!

I love the cynical responses of Alice to David/Corinne. Iβm sure some of her βrobot likeβ responses to Corinne are, if possible for an AI, said with tongue in cheek (circuitry in networks). I also can see the pleasure Captain DβAngelo much to Davidβs underlying is enjoying the shifts in her power status with David. As for David/Corinne her core underlying chauvinisms and self absorbed sense of self is still ever present even in her new form.
