Hey everyone! Hope 2025 is treating you well so far!
Last year, I conducted a survey on the kinds of stories you were most excited to see, and it was incredibly helpful! Now, I'd love to hear your thoughts on what you'd like for 2025.
Quick update: After Season 2 of Half Sisters concludes (we're getting close!), that "slot" will be filled with Season 3 of Homecoming.
But what else are you craving? Please select those that interest you the most.
1 - Novella-length stories with art - like Anywhere but Boring, Pleasure Drones, and Fertility Rites. In these, there's more writing than art so the plot can move more quickly.
2 - Comic miniseries - A complete story of about 60 panels told over three months (or so). I haven't really done one of these yet! But the format would be similar to the other comics.
3 - Transition stories - like Brooke's Transition & Story. For these, the focus is on the "transition timeline" art.
4 - Standalone one-shot comics - Complete stories told in a single extended comic episode (about 25 panels). These would be like getting a complete mini-movie in one sitting - perfect for when you want a story with a beginning, middle, and end all at once.
5 - "What if...?" one-shot comics - Alternate reality stories exploring pivotal moments from existing series. For instance, "What if Zach was sent to Clinic 12 instead of Nikki?" or "What if Ryan had been chosen for the companion program instead of Jack?" These would be self-contained stories that let us peek into how differently things might have turned out.
6 - "Cozy" slice-of-life trans stories - Gentle, low-stakes narratives focusing on everyday moments and relationships. A transition is happening, but otherwise think warm cups of tea, supportive friends, and quiet victories rather than high drama or intense conflicts.

2025-02-16 11:36:44 +0000 UTC@Emory it is hard to say right now because the stories I am most vested in are are still on going, so some of the "what ifs" could actually still come to be in some way. I think I am still thinking in broader but shorter strokes. What would Jack's life be like had he never been taken by New Dawn? Possibly set against a breaking news story of the revealing the existence of New Dawn after some major conflict and explosions on the island, lead by one of the other characters who would up filling the role that was Jill's. What would his reaction be? What would his life be like? What would his relationship be between him and his Dad and sister? It could make for an interesting contract with the Jill we have all come to know and love. Would not need to be a very long story. Same for Nikki. Would Nikki be the senior quarter back football star already getting offer from the pros, or would he be selling used cars because he got kicked off the team for being to toxic and lost his scholarship? Would he have a good relationship with his Mom or would they have grown farther apart as he continued down the path created by his Dad? And for that matter where would Zach be? Would he be second string on the team under Nick's shadow? Would Nick's departure from the team still have opened up the opportunity for him to still become the star QB? Or would he, faced with repression from his Dad at home and from Nick on the team been forced to take account for his own life and caused him to break out in hos own self defining directions? He danced in Kinky Boots in this time line, maybe he would be on Broadway on another? Another could be Xu himself. What if he had not gone down the route he had, but had used his wealth and the tech he developed or acquired to not use transition as a punishment, but set out and create an open and public clinic accessible to all that used the advance med tech and psychological conditioning to help those voluntarily seeking it and making the idea of transition more socially acceptable? Again not a long drawn out story, just a quick broad strokes postulating of what might have or could have been. I would say "what if Davis..." but I think the "what if" for Davis we all want to see, may still be in his future in this time line. π

For example, take the pin up of Nikki's T-shirt which makes assume takes place after Second Dawn's...well-deserved...demise. Nikki and the other Clinic 12 girls settling in say...Texas... and trying to start their lives anew. I would love to see the Xuniverse's 30 year-leap-forward in medical science brought to bear in these women starting and having families of their own...or at the very least being given that option.

What If Agent Peggy Carter got the Super Soldier Serum instead of Steve Roger and Became "Captain Carter". I think you could do some interesting short stories set in alternate Xu-niverses.

2025-02-14 06:19:33 +0000 UTCI think I really enjoy the novella-length stories with art. At least I really enjoyed "Anywhere But Boring." Less so Pleasure Drone and Fertility Rights. But I think for me the fantasy aspects of the latter two was not aligned with my personal taste. The art work and writing in both was still exceptional. But if you were to do another story like ABB, that is fiction but set in the present and not requiring too much suspension of reality, I am sure i would be a big success. I know we talked offline about a possible college athletics themed story. That might be a good fit for this? And also timely give recent executive orders coming from the White House. Though I think I would like to see it as a longer format story possibly in the Xu-niverse. Also as much as I would really like to see a college rowing story, it may be too close in time and story with Half Sisters moving to a college campus setting and Nikki possibly trying out for cheer-leading or even going out for field hockey or some other women's sport. I would hate to undermine either story by looking like it is a rehashing of the same story. But then again as a one off maybe that would minimize some of that perception?

T-shirt, jeans and cowboy hat. Things that were likely almost a daily uniform for Nick growing up in rural Texas. But now in women's Wranglers and the t-shirt a women's cut v-neck with cap sleeves. I also appreciate the irony of the message on the t-shirt, as Clinic 12 is kind of like "Fight Club". And the first rule of both is you don't talk about them.

I like to see Dr. Mason and Jack reversal roles like Jack being Melissa's (Dr. Mason Female alter ego) Caretaker and overtime they start to develop feelings for each other. Also, Melissa would be the brains to Jack and Jack to her brawn. Certain senarios would play differently like shower scene, Melissa's dynamic with Holly, and Davis being a creepy around Melissa, possibly setting up an awkward meeting between Jack's ex-girlfriend and Melissa around Jack.

My suggestion for additional content is "You Write The Caption" but on the topic that , you provide, which would facilitate the comparison. The winner who would get the most likes would have their story illustrated by you! How often, that would depend on you? Nikki has a cool t-shirt, but will the brave be found π€π?
