Special Art! Ranma-chan: WANTED

With a WANTED poster springing up in town, truly EVERYONE is now after Ranma-chan's ass! And this cowgirl would have it no other way! 🤠

The WANTED art set originally appeared as a bonus in the Ranmabooks comic: "I Dream of Ranma-chan". It is the direct inspiration for the "Shampoo: Outlaw" art set recently posted.

With our focus on the Old West this month, the team felt there was no better time to revisit one of our favorite projects.

Rather than simply remaster it, we went back and built it again from the ground up using everything we learned during the Outlaw production process.

It's VERY rare we remake art. Practically, we can't rebuild each art page or we'd never have time to create anything truly new again. Yet in this unique case, the team's passions demanded one last rodeo. So thank you to our patrons for indulging us!

Presented in UHD.
The Poster Edition no longer has perfect black inks. Instead, we leaned into the weathered and worn appearance, presenting the poster as an artifact from a bygone era.
Ranma's hair shifted from black to rust-red.
Some of the "fading" effects used to age the poster were overdone, leading to an "erased" appearance in some spots (like Ranma's hat). Those special effects have been rebalanced. Additionally, some extreme "tiger-striping" that impacted the character outline has been dialed down. The striping is a result of a hand-brushed technique. We can't entirely remove its appearance, but we have made it less distracting.
Poster Edition Background Improvements: Wood post upgraded with better texture, Tacks now feel metallic as intended.
A new "Gone West" version has been created with background, lighting, and dialog supporting the Wild West theme!
The original Ranmabooks release is included for comparison so that patrons can see how much the quality increased after the remake!
