So this Final image will be posted publicly soon.
I am going to announce my new 'Menu items' so to speak
AI is on the menu now.
But different degrees.
#1. AI woven into my style for efficiency, quality and speed. Get my work faster, cleaner and more detailed! (Available for the $15 tier and up)
#2. AI ideas with a TDM polish. These pics are mostly done by AI with me taking over small details, for instance to make the characters look like MY characters. This is what I consider 'cheap' but fun in its own right, (Available for the $5 tier and up).
Here's a sample of what that will look like
Why is #2. being offered at all?
Some of you may ask.
Frankly, I want a share of the market of people that are paying non-artists, for pure, generic AI Art generations. I'm seeing a lot of these guys on Twitter, generating boat loads of AI images, and getting more than their fair share of Patreon support.
It takes almost nothing for me to offer what they offer, (with a bit more thought, and restraint) AND what you all come to expect from me -
Original Pinups, Sketches and Comics
For 'Sweet Server' You can see each stage of the process in the pics above.
This is an example of AI being used in my process, woven into the fabric you can say.
I go back and forth with the AI to create something unique. Something I couldn't come up with myself, and definitely something the AI couldn't come up with itself.
The sheer speed at which I was able to execute this image also cannot be overstated.
Step 1 - A rough composition sketch done 100% by me. This is my idea Laying out all the important elements. Character and Background
Step 2 - The AI interprets this sketch by tidying it up the best it can. It usually gets many things wrong that require my corrective hand.
Step 3 - My completed corrections of what the AI refined for me in its version of my sketch.
Step 4 - I ink the final sketch myself
Step 5 - I do a basic colour pass indicating a rough idea of the light and shadow.
Step 6 - The AI interprets this pass the best it can, refining some of the details to a more polished state. It will still get some things wrong. You can see here it really cannot get Sarah's face right but thats ok, thats why I'm here. It also doesnt get the curvature of the dive bar quite right. Its meant to be a circular building but the AI thought to make it square.
Step 7 - Final Step - I correct the AI's mistakes, but also acknowledge and keep the ideas it generated on its own that I quite liked, more-so than my own ideas at the start or during the process.
I hope you guys like the piece and found this informative and interesting!
I also hope you are as excited as I am to see what I will unleash upon the world with this powerful tool this year!
I'm sharing this with you guys because I respect you.
There are a lot of artists in the industry using AI and not informing their supporters that they are. I don't know if its because they are ashamed, or scared that their supporters will leave them.
I don't agree with this practice. Hence my 100% Transparency with you.
AI is an amazing tool, and I want to use it.
AI is a charged and sometimes divisive topic right now in the art world and I believe you as my supporters deserve to know I will be using it going forward.
I trust you guys and I'm excited to share with you what I create using this tool, and I sincerely hope you guys are excited to see these future creations!
