Update #38 - Hallow's Eve

Happy Halloween everyone!

Well, not quite yet, but we're inching closer to it every day, the leaves turn orange, the weather cools, and the days get darker. Unless you live in California like I do, then it's just Summer for another 4 months!

Actually, it is starting to cool down a bit, so I'm able to function normally and be more productive. Such a brutal summer has taken its toll on me, though. Still, I think I've been able to get plenty of cards out even with so many delays and just general exhaustion.

Speaking of, the next two weeks should be fun - we've finally defeated all 8 Hoenn Gyms and have made our way - finally - to the Hoenn Elite Four. Know what that means? It's time for a slew of Dark+Ghost Moemon to battle! Let's not waste anymore time and jump right into the previews!

What's Next?

Our first Elite Four battle will be with Sidney, though a genderbent version, as usual - I haven't decided on a final design yet, so no preview for her just yet. However, her signature Moemon, Absol, will finally be released:

I may also include a shiny version, which would feature lighter skin tone w/ pinkish hair. Comparison:

Also, to fluff up Sidney's roster a bit more, we'll be throwing in some previously unreleased Gen 2 Moemon - Murkrow, as well as her Gen 4 evolution, Honchkrow.

Fun fact: I actually withheld releasing Murkrow back in Gen 2 because she was in the middle of receiving a new sprite (shown above), and while it's been finished for some time now, I never really had an opportunity to finish her. Until now, that is.

Also coming will be the whole Duskull family - Duskull, Dusclops, and Dusknoir.

I should note that these sprites are not necessarily final, as they are still being worked on right now. I actually don't know if they'll be done by release, but it doesn't matter too much - the basic idea is there, and I can work with that.

Elite Four Phoebe will also be coming out - I'm aiming for Halloween itself. Alongside her will be her Shuppet and Banette:

There may be ONE additional Moemon, signature to Phoebe, that I may include, if I have the time. On that same note, there may be an additional release or two not shown here - as long as I can squeeze it in. In fact, given how little time there actually is left, I may just spill over into November with some of these Ghost Moemon!

Oh, and the above screenshot is a little teaser for a certain Lavender Town resident, to be released soon!

Speaking of November - while I won't preview the sprites here for sake of time, we'll be continuing the Elite Four battles immediately with Glacia and her Moemon - such as the Spheal and Snorunt families. I should have another update post before or after that, so we're keeping this one a bit short!
