Champion - Dragon Lancette!

Lancette has returned with two empowered Moemon - Mega Aerodactyl (+ Reworked Aerodactyl) & Mega Dragonite!

Lancette has received some minor updates to her appearance (very few, because she's obviously already perfect), much of which is very slight tweaks to facial features. The only significant one is a new face overlay that simply adds black around her eyes, as there's a slight seam persistent with the creator that causes makeup to appear through the corner of the eyes (hardly noticeable.. unless you're me).

The main changes come to her outfit. While her main slot remains the same, it has seen some slight changes to the rimV settings for both her clothes and accessories. Astute users will have noticed this change in some of my recent cards - rimV causes a "shine" around clothing and accessories that is honestly kind of annoying when taking screenshots.

For example, let's look at Lancette's boots with the rimV setting on default:

And here it is with the setting reduced to 0:

This is one of the more egregious examples, the other being hair. Personally I find it simply works better turned off when trying to manipulate a good screenshot and using different lighting sources/methods.

Also, while Lancette's "Dragon Form" is really only meant for slot 2, I went ahead and applied it to all slots, and instead of her bunny suit, I changed it to the above succubus suit. The dragon accessories are mainly applied to all slots for whatever purpose you want.

Next up is a reworked Aerodactyl & Mega Aerodactyl!

We actually have some sprites to show off!

First, Aerodactyl's original sprite:

Now here's her updated sprite(s):

She's adorable either way, but I utilized the 1st set of the new sprites in her rework. She has faced a ton of tweaks to her base model, too many to list, really -- things like little coloring fixes (mouth line, iris, hair, etc), to things like facial adjustments, lots of work was put in, but let's write it all off and just say she's brand new! Here's her new base model:

Her original outfit remains at slot 2, for those who prefer that.

And here's a closeup of her Mega version:

While she shares mostly the same outfit set, some have been altered to fit the new accessories, or just for flavor. Her eyes were particularly fun to work with, given that it actually utilizes some new highlights to create an illusion of pupils, giving much more freedom to create unique eyes in the future, when appropriate.

Our first official Shiny Mega (Mega Alakazam doesn't count, that was an ALTERNATE coloring, NOT a Shiny version -- I don't care if the Alternate Coloring just HAPPENED to match the Shiny palette!), so yeah, enjoy that!

Mega Dragonite is based on this concept art here:

I think it's a faithful interpretation of what Mega Dragonite could look like, given the mythological archetype of Chinese Dragons. According to Bulbapedia:

"Dragonite resembles Japanese sea serpents, European dragons, or fairy dragons. Its description as the "guardian of the sea" may also suggest it has elements similar to the Chinese dragon."

And I dunno about you, but I tend to associate shiny floating orbs with Monks, but that may just be because of WoW and the developers constantly making Monk sets and throwing orbs on them:

"Monk set? Throw orbs on that bitch"

Anyways...

Mega Dragonite was fairly easy and fun to make, given the experience I have with the MatEditor now. The orbs were easy - just some spheres with Goo rendering, and some shine. The Dragon Tail has had it's overlay changed to match her color palette. She has some horns, some wings, some...

Yeah, yeah, I know you're staring at the eyebrows. It's rude to stare, you know? I actually toyed with things like this in the past with Night Elf models, and because I main one in WoW, I'm used to them I guess - they can always be turned off. But come on, she's beautiful the way she is!

It should be mentioned that I actually did update the Dragonite family as well, but mainly just minor face adjustments (wider mouth, adjusted eyebrow/eye/mouth height, etc), but I found the changes too small to re-upload here. They will be updated on the Mega, however, eventually (not today).
