Medical Update #2 + Future Content Plans

MEDICAL UPDATE #2
Like I mentioned in my last post, my follow up appointment with my ENT was May 13th/yesterday, and good news is my thrush is practically gone. But the bad news is it turns out that thrush isn't the cause of my vocal issues - I actually have lesions on my vocal cords.

I did suspect that this was what I had when I originally got sick since I had almost every symptom for it (my voice pitch being extremely low and hoarse, voice cracking, having to put extra effort to speak, having pain when I speak too much, etc). I coughed nonstop for two weeks when I was sick, which can be absolute torture on your throat and can cause lesions, but since my ENT said my cords were fine and healthy last month, I thought I was just wrong. My folds are still healthy everywhere else, but unfortunately at my examination yesterday there were lesions present.

Vocal lesions can reduce when you're resting your voice/not speaking much, and increase when you aren't resting your voice/speak more, which means they were just smaller and harder for the ENT to see a month ago. This is also exactly why my voice has been very on and off; on some occasions I’ll sound okay for a day or two, then my voice returns to being messed up.

It is rare for lesions to go away on their own. Because of this, I have now been referred to a laryngologist; unlike an ENT, they fully focus on vocal health and vocal cords and they'll be able to help me way more. They will also continue to help me in the future for any future issues. I’ll be seeing the new doctor on June 10th and will most likely have to get surgery, which should be on or around the same day.

Some of you may be worried about the surgery part, but it will just be laser surgery (so no cutting or invasive type surgeries)! They'll basically do what the ENT did and put a camera down my nose again, but with a laser and zap the lesions off my vocal folds. ;-; It’ll be a remotely painless and short procedure (around 30 minutes), and I’ll recover very quickly afterward. Recovery time is a few days to a week, and I should be able to talk gently at that point, and then I'll have to go to voice therapy on a regular basis after to make sure my voice is functioning normally and get it to its full capacity again.

As usual I'll be transparent with you all about everything going on, so I’ll be able to give you guys better updates and timelines when it gets closer to surgery day (how long I have to recover, my post-op, what day I'll return to content etc), but fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly surgery wise. I'm also gonna drop an audio in here of my pre-op and post-op voice so I can see progress + you guys can see just how bad my voice is/was.

I'm very nervous since I've never had any type of surgery before, but another benefit of laser surgery is negative side effects are rare! I'm also excited because once the surgery is done, I'll finally have my voice back to normal for good! My voice issues have been causing me a lot of stress and depression the past 9 months so I'm glad to finally have it be over with soon.

FUTURE CONTENT PLANS
I've already been planning a stack of scripts and other content during my absence, and this will continue up until I have my surgery so I can 100% focus on recovering afterwards. When I return, I will be light on how often I record (1-2 times a month) and not overexert myself and this will probably go on for a month or two. But once my voice is strong again, I'll be recording regularly and having consistent releases (3-4 or more a month).

I also have a lot of work to do when I'm back because some of my goals this year are to:

• Release an audio for every day of November (yes it's for NNN), which means I have to get all the audios done before October! But I'm 100% determined to do it because it's been something I've wanted to do for years
• Release some comfort/lovey audios as myself! I noticed some VTubers do audios like that, and I think it'd be fun to step out of being shy and do an audio as myself instead of a character for a change (I'll be doing free and paid ones so let me know some if you have any ideas you want me to put in them like affirmations/reassurance, tingle ideas, lewd ideas, etc).

I have other plans as well in terms of new content and streaming/2.0 debut, but they're surprises and I won't spill them to you guys yet~

LITTLE SAPPY MOMENT
I have been struggling mentally for a while because making audios is my life and I'm not exaggerating! Not being able to do something I love has affected me a lot since this happened. I've had people question me sometimes over the years on if I do this because I love it or if I do it just for money or clout and there's the answer - I do it because I love to do it.

From what I've seen in my almost 7 years of creating online, I know it's not always common for content creators to do something just because and some of them put on a facade or fake personality for the internet, but I've enjoyed storywriting for years and for me, making audios is my way of writing stories in an audio format and something I put a lot of passion and effort into. If I have not put my best voice acting and writing in, I won't release it. This is why some audios get scrapped/re-recorded and why my audios can get a little lengthy sometimes story/plotwise before it gets to the lewd lmao.

I'm not sure what you guys imagine I do irl when I'm not making audios, but behind the scenes of these audios is just a boring girl that rarely leaves the house and puts all her time into writing/planning new ideas, reading books and sleeping T^T
