September + October Plans and Appreciation π
Added 2024-09-14 16:41:34 +0000 UTCHere's a more updated calender/schedule on what's going on over the next few weeks and plans for after my surgery! I know I announced some of these dates already, but I wanted to make this a more organized post.
SEPTEMBER
September 19th: Surgery day!
September 20th: Vocal rest
September 21st: Vocal rest
September 22nd: Vocal rest
September 23rd: Resuming my voice exercises 3x a day. I was doing them 5x a day before they decided I need surgery, so I'll have to see when they say it's okay for me to go back to 5x.
At this state, I will be updating you all every Monday on my voice/post-surgery progress! My hoarseness should be gone anywhere from a few days to 2 weeks after, but full recovery from my surgery (not just how I sound) can take 2-6 weeks depending on my personal recovery speed which is why I'll do weekly updates!
OCTOBER
October 8th: 2nd VTuber Anniversary! I wanted to do a short chatting stream on this day, but I'll have to see what my doctor says. From what I'm aware, my talking budget is gonna be 5-10 minutes a day for a bit after surgery (not sure how long this restriction will be). If I get the okay from my doctor to speak for longer periods, I'll do a stream, but if not then no biggie! I'll just push it forward until I get the okay!
October 11th: Post-op follow up + speech therapy. I'll be three weeks post-op by this point and should be sounding better. This will be my last or second to last speech therapy appointment since they've already taught me all I need to know. I'll also be having another post op appointment a few months down the line to make sure I'm fully healed and my nodules aren't coming back. When I return to making audios and streaming will be very dependent on how my recovery goes! If I'm lucky, could be near the end of October, but if I'm healing slow, it could be early November at the latest! Regardless of how long it takes, I do have a backlog of scripts and vtuber stuff I've been working on, so I have a lot of surprises and will be a very busy bee (without overdoing it) when I come back~
APPRECIATION π
I can't believe it's been 13 months since I got sick and got nodules, but I just want to take a moment to say how deeply grateful I am for each and every one of you. Your support has been a constant light in my life, especially during the ups and downs with my vocal issues. I've always been an introverted loner and making audios brought you all into my life and made me not feel lonely anymore, so losing that has made me feel like I've lost myself. There's been a lot of times that my depression and anxiety has gotten worse since having these voice problems, and I've definitely shed tears multiple times out of frustration, but knowing you're all waiting, loving and supporting me has helped wayyy more than you realize.
Even though I haven't been able to give my full self to creating content, you all have stood by me, cheered me on, and sent me so much love. It's because of you that I can continue doing what I love, even through the tough times. Your patience and encouragement have meant the world to me, and I honestly don't know how to express just how much I appreciate you all.
Thank you for believing in me, for sticking around, and for being the best supporters anyone could ever dream of. I can't wait to repay you all by coming back even stronger than ever and sharing more amazing content with you all soon. This journey is far from over, and it's all thanks to YOU. I love you π
(Now the next update will actually be the day of or day after my surgery hehe)
