Gunman Contracts - Stand Alone - quick update - 02

Hi all. I know its been a while (again), but I have made enormous progress in the last month. The demo version is now pretty much done and waiting to go out to a few test players who then (hopefully) help me to find more areas to finetune further. Especially different headset are a blind eye to me, since I am only able to test the game on my oculus quest 1, which I have hooked up via VirtualDesktop.

I have made tons of adjustments and implemented loads of new features over the last weeks, so much so that I dont think I'd be able to list em all here on the top of my head ... then again, been much reworking for polishing and stuff under the hood, effects etc.. 

Some main features are:

- Patrol-testarea where the player can clear a set of rooms and corridors to test enemy behavior. A.I. still needs some more polishing, but its already a lot of fun (at least to me ^^) ... you can check this feature out in the screens. Did I add the motion blur effect in photoshop? Hell yeah, but it just looked so darn sweet! ^^ 

- Slowmotion feature that can be triggered via button. The duration of the slowmotion mode gets depleted while active and recharges while inactive.

- Painkillers to recharge health

- The gunrange now has a musicplayer, where the player can play a set of classic tunes and some scores from the mods.

And last but not least:

- The player also has the ability to add own MP3 music into the game. Just copy songs you want to listen to into a folder called "UserMusic" and the musicplayer in the gunrange will add them automatically into the list of playable songs. 

I also plan to use this MP3 feature for contract related music, with folders corresponding to areas in each map. E.g. in the "Chapter1" remake (that I am working on) there will be music playing over the speakers inside the bar. This will be generic music by default, but when the game finds an MP3 inside a certain folder, it will use this music instead, and therefor giving each player a personal tailored experience. .... and yep, I myself will be listening to "Kaleida - Think" until I go deaf XD

I am also working on a new vid, but I am fighting a cold right now, so it might take a few more days before that will be rdy. I will keep you posted.

thanks you two. @Thomas S, I gladly take you up as a contact :-) ... yet since oculus 1 & 2 should be quite equal in terms of structure, especially when simply using them as pc headset, I will probably not pull that option before hitting a broader testgroup, which might be short before or maybe even when going early access on steam. In which case I do plan to give out free keys to all my patreons who are either with me a long time or reached a certain pledge number. I will make an announcement on that once I have bit more clarity on how the road ahead will look like, meaning if I am indeed are going early access or if a publishing deal should come to pass. There are some options in the talks, but nothing is set in stone yet either way
