Gunman Contracts - Stand Alone - devlog #04

Hi dear patreons!

As seen on screens posted before, I have been working on the recreation of my map from "chapter 1" for the standalone project over the last two months, which will also be the first contract available. 

For the last couple of weeks I have been playtesting/recording quite a bit during production, and thought I could edit some of that footage together for a quick devlog video.

As of now, the video is unlisted, since I am not sure when or if I will release it to the public. The map is neither finished, nor is the gameplay shown anywhere near where I want it to be, since I do aim to make the maps way less linear. But for testing purposes, I wanted to be as close to its HLA counterpart as possible.

Another issue is that the map is not fully optimized, which, as of now, is really bringing my laptop to its limits, which can also be seen in tbe footage (low, stuttering fps at times). With a gtx1070, my notebook is quite at the bottom of the foodchain nowadays, but I am sure there is still a lot of room to bring up the fps even for my old machine XD

also where you can like knock them out by hitting them on the side of their head or their neck

You will love this: the game already has an usermusic feature. Each contract has a folder in which you can place mp3 tracks, which will then play instead of the default tracks inside a map. So in the bar, there would then play whatever is in the folder in a random loop ... for me its "Kaleida - Think" ... which is awesome btw ^^
