Quick Poll #3 - Sound Effects
Added 2017-09-08 12:27:20 +0000 UTCIf you're been around a while, or have listened to my older recordings, you may have noticed that in the last couple of months I have started adding in sound effects on some recordings (most of the time because they've been requested in the script by the script writer, but sometimes just because I thought they would enhance the recording and was experimenting.)
I won't deny that they do make the recordings sound a bit more realistic at times, and add a layer of sublte ambiance which some listeners may appreciate. But it also means that I am putting in considerably more time and effort on those recordings without additional compensation. So as of Oct 1st, I am going to start charging extra on scripts that request SFXs that I either have to custom record myself, or find online and have to edit/clean up in order to use them. (I will be posting a document with some other scripting rules/changes later this weekend for Headmasters & Sugar Daddies).
But the question for today is: As a listener, do you prefer the recordings to have sound effects mixed in? You may choose more than one answer.
(I am referring to things like: sex sounds like the balls slapping during sex, hand job/JO sounds, face slaps, and room ambiance like closing doors, bed squeaking, camera sounds, zippers, etc. Not referring to blowjob sounds, I have always and will always include those by popular demand, so don't worry!)

well, then I definitely do love to hear "rubbing, wet sounds," and things like table fucking, slapping, or hitting the ground from abuse, but I understand that I shouldn't expect it in every recording. I think they'll enhance your work, but they take time to sync up, and find. Still maybe you could start setting up a pool, of sounds, that gradually increases, as you do more work?

2017-09-08 12:43:38 +0000 UTCBlowjobs definitely don't count, as I said I've always done those, and always will... they are a staple in my recordings as you may have noticed :p A bit of screaming isn't a problem either, and if you're just talking about moans of masturbation then that's all free as it's part of my vocal performance. If you're talking about masturbation noises, such as rubbing sounds, wet sounds, jacking off sounds, etc, those would be considered sound effects.
