Acceptable Behavior
Added 2016-07-15 21:19:00 +0000 UTCThis page was tough, went through a number of revisions of the lines and characters. I didn't want to spend too much time since they're going to be used once and then probably never seen again, but they still need to look a certain way for the story to work later. I needed the first three pages to show how things are in the world, page two (this one) shows how the people generally think, though their behavior is rude and rough. I may have overdone the accents a bit, might make it hard to explain why the rest of the town doesn't talk like this despite living near each other for a long time. Then again this is a port town so maybe I can get away with most laborers having accents.
I feel like the characters are a bit dark compared to the environment, so next time I'll pay closer attention to ambient lighting.
And I finally used a camera I got on my birthday to figure out how to draw the hands. They're still stylized but it should be easier to get the poses right from now on. Plus I'm starting to get used to the program so the background took much less time. I think the saturation is a bit high though, I'll need to see if the screen needs adjusting.
