It's interesting putting so much thought into these pages dialogues before scrapping them and then writing straight ahead at the end, going by memory.

The benefit is that you summarize what you meant in your head better than you can trim down, and naturally pick out the important bits to remember. The upside is that most people memorize in a similar fashion (I hope) and so as the story continues they should have an easier time remembering the important details. It... helps when trying to make a conversation in the story run smoothly. When I talk to people I don't normally spend days agonizing over the importance of every word I say, and comics should reflect that a little.

The downside is that everyone starts sounding like my internal voice, so while writing it's important to get into an acting attitude. I haven't determined Aquas personality yet so he's a bit default for now. For personality we need to see something he feels strongly about, and this introduction page isn't quite enough.

While I didn't agonize ofer all the exact words here, I did spend a few months considering this scene and how to branch off from it as quickly as possible. If new information isn't presented then a page is wasted, and inaction can be informative too.
