AI Insurgence in Adult Games

Here's a rare philosophical post after tinkering with some AI stuff recently.
In what capacity and to which extent should we adopt AI tools in adult game development? Obviously the premise of the question extends far beyond adult game development, but that's the hemisphere we're in right now.
I've seen the 'AI' tag used more frequency in the past year with plenty of games using the same formula and generative images/text to somewhat tell their story, albeit with very similar patterns and gameplay (it's a surprise anyone can tell some of these apart). Over-use of such tools results in a watered down, flavourless wall of text and images to skip through with no remaining unique distinction of the creator's vision if there was one.
Those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, so I won't rag on people for how they source their 'visual content' or if they need the assistance with coding. I'm probably biased to believe writing is the sacred urn to not be trifled with, though I guess less valued by other creators. I'm sure many feel that way about the art/visuals.
As I see it; the availability of AI tools is akin to handing everyone the same infinite supply of performance enhancing drugs; the more you use, the more you lose (not your ballbag, I mean the unique qualities of your own human thoughts).
I'm not hating on AI either. I find it fascinating and I know it takes a significant level of time and effort to create 'good' stuff. These things can genuinely help and boost productivity, though there is a fine line between efficiency and laziness. What used to take a decent measure of effort can now be done very quickly with minimal effort at the expense of unique quality. Low-effort cash-grabs are on the rise.
Be wary, my friends.

I am a little late to this post, but I think AI could help keep things consistent in games like this. Meaning, enhancing the images already there or making something to go with the story and keep all characters looking the same throughout. Some times games can take me out of it when a picture doesn't seem to fit or when thinking that a picture would really help here.

2025-04-13 07:29:00 +0000 UTCIf i may include something most intriguing about the subject. I personally find others intellect and interests to be a peak interest. That being said, i find that your desire to include your personal story, showing your psychological prowess to be far more amusing then what some AI is capable of. Utilizing it for images is somewhat fun, ive used it here and there to create some imagery; but any kind of story telling or writing should come from your mind; as it is unknown. Continue to write with that brilliant mind of yours. Nothing is wrong with getting inspiration from others, but telling your own narrative is the only thing that people like me truly want.
