Barca (the ice elf king) was actually stronger than Jin Woo. Which is why he summoned Iron mid fight and was already using Igris. It’s took the 3 of them (plus two fireballs from the mages) to kill him. Jin Woo didn’t get hurt but he would have if he tried to fight him head on by himself.
Jin Woo was High A rank/low S rank going into the gate. He leveled up so he’s definitely S rank now.
But the thing about S rank is that there can be worlds of difference in strength between S ranks. Even after getting out of the Gate, Jin Woo would NOT win against Baek (the white tiger guild president) and probably not Hwang Dongsoo either(the S rank younger brother of the guy Jin Woo killed) atm.
The thing about Jin Woo is that he has straight hax. Like, titles. Which give him passive buffs just by equipping them.
Or an inventory, which the other hunters mistook for summoning magic. Or skills, which he can acquire more of AND level them up. Even if said skills have nothing to do with his class, which is an impossibility for all the other hunters.
Jin Woo is very much aware of the system but the system affects reality and him. There’s nothing he can do but interact with it. 🤷🏾♂️
There is a layer of depth to the world and story under the flashy animation and cool shit.

Yeah, after rewatching it, I agree with you. While his anger is understandable, I don’t believe killing your only chance—along with everyone else’s only chance—at survival was the right thing to do. It was an irrational decision driven by the shock he had just experienced. Kim clearly had a complex.
Kim’s decision to leave the weaker members behind was one he believed to be correct based on the information available at the time. It demonstrated a level-headed and rational analysis of the situation, highlighting him as a logical individual capable of making tough decisions that others might perceive as cruel in the moment. This is why his decision to try and kill Sung Jin Woo feels so inconsistent.
The logical and rational choice at that point would have been to set aside his anger and cooperate with Sung Jin Woo until they escaped the gate. He could have confronted his anger afterward. However, Kim had just witnessed several of his men die, and his pride had taken a serious hit. He didn’t strike me as the type of person to lose his composure merely because someone died in front of him.
It seems more likely that he couldn’t accept his own incompetence in the situation and refused to shoulder any of the blame. Sung Jin Woo became a convenient scapegoat for Kim’s failings, allowing him to shift the responsibility for the disaster away from his own lack of control and onto Sung Jin Woo’s secrecy. Even if his anger was somewhat justified, it ultimately served as an excuse for Kim to deflect blame, leading this otherwise rational hunter to make an irrational and self-destructive choice.

Kim wasn't even wrong for what he did tho. They were in a A-rank gate. Anybody below C-rank was basically canon fodder and dead weight. It wouldn't have been smart to take them with him to clear the gate and end up dying because he was trying to save them. Their best bet would be to hide and hope he clears the gate. He was just in a very unfortunate situation. Considering the fact that he was stronger as a human than as Iron if jinwoo didn't hide his power from kim both of them together could have easily cleared the gate without any deaths. So I'm not mad at Kim was being enraged at jinwoo. Kim didn't have the best personality but he was never intentionally leaving people to die since anybody below B-rank trying to fight in a A-Rank dungeon is basically suicide

I’d watched a spoiler discussion about this episode from people who’d seen the first two episodes at the Solo Levelling compilation movie.
One of them suggested that there was evidence in this episode that this is all a game reality.
I can actually think of another possible explanation for that glitch. It’s the Player System censoring information it doesn’t want Jin-Woo to know. We know the System can manipulate what Jin-Woo sees and hears because he’s the only one who can see the status screens and the System was also translating the Elve’s language as well. At least that was Jin-Woo’s theory in this episode.
All the evidence points to the System guiding/manipulating Jin-Woo but we don’t know why yet. So it wouldn’t surprise me if the System is keeping certain information from Jin-Woo in order to continue guiding/manipulating him.

Igris is the name of the red haired knight. Although in japan they changed his name to Igrit. So you will see subtitles say Igris while the va will call him Igrit. An annoying change for the fanbase as Igris is among the favorites.

Kim is so mad because he kept his power hidden. Just as Kim had left the "weak" group to likely die, Sung Jin-Woo did the exact same thing to them. He is mad at the B rank lady, because she caught on, and also left the other team to die. Kim is obviously being a huge hypocrite and bastard, but he also got scared shitless, watched his entire team get wiped effortlessly, and has basically lost his mind at this point. Blaming Sung Jin-Woo was the easiest way for his mind to escape the responsibility of his men's death and his own incompetence. (He also is not entirely wrong, Sung could have probably saved a couple of the others)
