I get where you’re coming from about Ur as a mother but I think that’s just bad writing. The author wanted to portray her as an amazing mother but failed, since the way the backstory is shown does’t convey that at all. So I think you should accept at face value that she was a good mom regardless of what the backstory made you feel because that’s what the author wanted to covey and he just failed. It’s not Ur’s fault the author couldn’t come up with a reasonable backstory that could explain Ultear’s actions while also showing that Ur was a good mom that did everything she could for her daughter 😂

2025-08-28 15:07:25 +0000 UTC1. The scene between Cana and Gildarts always gets to me. That arc made Cana my favorite female character for a while when I was growing up. It's wild to think Fairy Tail was my favorite anime in high school, and now I'm 32—time really flies! 2. The next two episodes are peak Fairy Tail; you can tell that's where most of the animation budget went. 3. Lucy is such an amazing friend and character. She's my current favorite, with Juvia as a close second. 4. Zeref is cursed. It's complicated, but you'll understand as you watch more. Rather than over-explaining, I'll let you learn from the show. I think at this stage, the author was deliberately keeping Zeref mysterious, giving you pieces of the puzzle to keep you guessing what his whole deal is. 5. The nurse gag was hilarious! I loved Juvia and Levy's reactions.
