But I guess this will open others plotlines. Well the intro still feature some of the past characters so we might not be done with the rear palace but now she will have access to more place. Xiaomao. Yes the assistant call Maomao Xiaomao. It’s like an endearing nickname. 1st result on google give “In Chinese culture, both adding "Xiao-" to someone's name and repeating the syllable can be used to create intimate nicknames. "Xiao-" is often used to show affection and closeness, while repeating the syllable of a person's name can also convey a sense of familiarity and intimacy” Underwear made of hair eww. It was hilarious when she “sneak out” of Jinshi company after the meeting with the other mean girls screaming sneak sneak sneak 🤣 She failed the exam so they can’t give her an official jobs 😅 that why they saying what they are going to do. After Episode. The first court covers volume 1 of the light novel. There are 11 volumes and still ongoing. I only started to read the 1st volume but didn’t get far I don’t know anything from future episode. The preview. We get back to the consort 😁 I also think that the 2nd part will have a major ongoing plot tying the episode together. The first episodic was an introduction now we get to the real plot. I kind of like the other lady that stops Maomao. She seems to be a future ally even though right now she isn’t the friendliest character. Good. Take Care 😋

2024-01-07 06:08:50 +0000 UTCI have to say that your: "This girl is related to that Courtesan (her name is Joka)" comment gave me a lot of chuckles for reasons. I'm not gonna say if you're correct or terribly wrong, I'm just going to enjoy your reactions. Then again, if you want to be super broad we're all related to each other in many generations. I suspect real reason is that there are only so many ways you can draw people in Anime. She looks different than other Court Ladies in the scene where they harass her. You can even see that she wasn't really into bullying Mao Mao. Which is noted in light novel, but for some reason they didn't state it in Anime. Though they did show that.

2024-01-07 03:13:17 +0000 UTCTo answer your question about her name: Mao Mao is her name - meaning "cat cat". Hence why she is portrayed in some of the scenes with cat ears. Or people refer to her as "cat returning home" or something like that. Xiaomao is a nickname. It is Chinese equivalent to calling her "Mao Mao chan". Cutesy, for younger girls especially, but also endearing. Gaoshun was the first person who went from "Mao Mao - sama" (Lady Mao Mao) to "Xiaomao" or if it were Japanese "Mao Mao - chan". So at least 2 steps down in formality ladder, plus a name that is cutesy, plus to show a difference of age (Gaoshun could be her father in terms of age, Suiren could be her Grandmother in terms of age). Given that it wasn't malicious, not a big deal, but I would assume that when she wasn't there and plans for her to work in Outer court where drawn, Gaoshun kept referring to her as "Xiaomao", which is why Suiren also picked up that nickname.

2024-01-07 02:48:59 +0000 UTCVolume 2 of the light novel. Given that Volume 10 was just released in English, they have enough material for 5 Seasons (and more in Japanese or if you go by Web Novel). And I can't wait for certain characters to be introduced (Yao, Chue). Though it is going to be interesting with part 2 of this season as well. Sadly it will take years to adapt all of the material. Especially since it is still being written. I really hope that Season 2 of "Mao Mao does stuff" will follow in 2024. And maybe even Season 3. It would be seriously good decision.
