I was right there with you on my thoughts on the show from what I'd seen. It just looked like everything else to me at first, but my good friend has been hyping up the novel for it for the last 5 years and I'm going to give it a shot just because he likes it. I think I already like it better than I was expecting. I tend to expect these sorts of anime to be too edgy, but it doesn't seem so bad. The names are hard for me to remember, too, because I don't have a lot of exposure to Korean stuff, other than stuff my Korean roommate used to show me.

2024-01-07 18:35:56 +0000 UTCYou mentioned earlier that those who wanted to push the dungeon should just go, and those who wants to leave should leave, and if you care for your life above all else, i agree with that, but in these kinds of jobs, there's a unspoken rule that everything is done as a full party, otherwise you'd risk your career as a hunter bc other parties can't trust you to not desert them. That being said, pushing a double dungeon without notifying the Association is illegal, so if you was to leave on your own, it'd probably be a legal gray area, but socially speaking, it's still bad for your reputation. Nobody would want to party with you, so from a hunter's perspective, it wouldn't be good to socially ruin a career this profitable over a D rank dungeon. Everyone takes these dungeons knowing the risks, so you're expected to see it through to the end if the party outvotes you.

2024-01-07 05:58:30 +0000 UTCThe reason I think this show has so much hype around it is for me and likely a lot of other people, during Covid this webtoon kind of exploded in popularity beyond the sphere of anime/manga/manhwa and exposed a lot of people to anime related mediums and stories. I guarantee this story is at least 10% responsible for why anime/manga has been seen as more mainstream in the past few years. And specifically in terms of manhwa/webtoons it is like genre defining for action, you cant open a manhwa website or anything without seeing a million rip-offs.

So by heaving the conventional weapon doesn’t work gimmick you can have medieval dungeon and modern settings I knew you would like that this is Korean well base on Korean webtoon 😁 Every Hunter starts with a level and never gets better in terms of magic. I guess they can train and fight better but their magic power is set and never evolves. So you were born S-Rank or E-Rank and you start at S-Rank from the get go. Well that's my take on It. I’m blind here. My guess is even tho the mana thing is very valuable the government doesn’t pay it worth so the hunter doesn’t get the bulk of the money well at least the lower ranked one, I guess it’s better than minimum wage otherwise the MC would have found something else to do. I get that he wants money but If he dies. No money for his mother nor his sister. When they enter the last chamber, I would have said nope, this looks super powerful. I’m out of here. They were assembled for a low rank dungeon so they don’t have many high level hunters with them. The instructions were only to revere god, praise god etc. Not that useful. I guess it’s time to get on your knee and pray 😅 After Episode True it’s not bad but we haven’t seen the leveling yet and how it’s going to play out. I wonder if it’s deeper than just a fighting anime. I hope so with the hype this has been getting. I also like the female love interest. Take Care 😋

It stood out from the rest due to its story, and its amazing art style! Looking at the animation it’s looking great! If it stays consistent it’s going to be a great adaptation When someone awakens they stay at that rank. If someone awakens to A rank they are not able to rank up, they stay as A rank forever
