Without spoiling too much (or anything, this is sort of my interpretation), my conjecture (this mostly comes from previous information plus a small bit that will be talked about 2-3 episodes from now - if you don't want to know anything, PLEASE DON'T READ after that part) Also if you know how to "spoil" text in here, please let me know, I'll edit it, so it can't be visible without clicking on it. Every proctor decides how to conduct trials. However on every level, except for 1 rank mage, there are rules about no killing (we know Ubel failed rank 2 test for killing proctor). Wasting potential is not something that Serie condones (at least she doesn't strike me as such, although remember she is an Elf - to her the fact that someone dies "merely 50 years earlier" might not be as big of a deal for all we know for now). She accepts that first rank/class mage exam "might" be exception - because of the nature of the "job" it entails. First rank/class mage isn't just a title - it's a job that includes doing hardest, most suicidal quests that Magic Association has to deal with. That's why the rule is "relaxed". And if a proctor has a good idea for a test (catching stille within that barrier, was a great idea for a test that only the most crafty should be able to solve), then killing isn't prohibited. Though it is not encouraged either. It is just expected that first class mage might be fighting to the death and that they might spend a very long time in situations where death is daily occurrence.

2024-02-03 14:25:34 +0000 UTCUgh! Bird poop! Now we have something in common. When I was in highschool I was lying on a bench in the courtyard. I felt something warm splash on my head. I looked up, saw no rain , was like "wtf?" then tried to rub it out of my hair. Went to class and later, some kids who saw it happened got in trouble from laughing. They told the teacher that they saw a bird poop on my head and I just "wiped it all in my hair". I was so embarassed and the teacher made me go wash my hair, but the damage was done. Ever since then, I feel like I've had really severe dandruff, no matter what I do. Finally, just this year I decided to get it medically looked at. Yea, birds are menaces!

2024-02-03 05:01:28 +0000 UTCI love these flashbacks with Flamme. ❤ Series is old a 1000 years ago and she was still on the throne and knowing all magic I love the answer the greatest joy in magic is searching it Yep Serie has Killua Voice Actor I really like the two water and ice mages. They are great side characters. Frieren is so OP and at the same time so calm in combat no flashy combat move. Well her barrier breaking move was flashy but that out of combat so it’s allowed as fern said 😁 We get more into the magic lore. It’s all visualisation. 🤔 I love how the Denken team after the fight with Frieren breaks the magic trope. Indestructible binding magic, Just break the tree. Nobody has any magic anymore. Just beat them up with your fist. Like you want to steal something and you no longer have magic you can still mug them 😁 😂Fern what other spell you know. Well I can see through clothing 🤣 After episode I think the defeated group held on to the Stille out of principle. They will not just hand them to another team after all they went through and one of their teammate died. Fighting with their fist is so much the logical next step and yet so many mage would just have given up. I’m a mage I fight with magic. No mana I’m useless. The other guy is also a mage without mana so fist fight it is. I also still haven’t quite wrapped my mind around why Frieren would be better than Serie to defeat the demon king. My best guess is after the demon king's defeat it would be a peaceful era so if Serie defeats the demon king she’s ending an era of great combat and she can’t want it to end. I guess it’s the difference between someone who likes combat and wants to build it up and let the combat get more and more powerful building it up to an epic multi episodes arc versus someone who is just no nonsense and defeats it as quickly as possible with all the cheating you can get. Like if there is a spell where Frieren can just say Demon king Begon and that it. Frieren would use it but Serie would want to fight the demon king instead. As always, a super fun reaction. 2024-02-03 01:40:14 +0000 UTCbtw, how characters pronounce the names in this show is not a good example to go off of. All the names in this show are german and often they dont actually pronounce it correctly. For example characters in this show will say Wirbel or Wirt wrong.
