Itβs nice going to the theaters alone randomly after work sometimes to just grub and watch a movie. Nobody else is needed. Plus, your take on solo leveling is perfect. It was never a revolutionary plot, just badassery

2025-03-27 19:28:22 +0000 UTCI think the reason that people aren't so impressed with Solo Leveling is that they've seen so many "overpowered" heroes it's not funny. What they don't realize is that Solo Leveling is the Dragonball Z of the "overpowered hero" genre. It's the creator, from which all other series try to bite their style. Jinwoo is the original "king" of it all. So, because they are seeing pretenders before they see the original, it's probably hard for them to care too much. At least, at the start. Honestly, the story is just beginning. This is really only a fraction of what Drip God Jinwoo is capable of.

2024-03-31 03:10:50 +0000 UTCi actually really like solo leveling. i think it gets a bad rap as far as writing because the phrase "power fantasy" is a thought terminating cliche that makes people perceive it as low brow. i honestly think people care more about prestige signaling when they evaluate writing than anything, and it really bugs me. people throw the phrase power fantasy around as if like... that's not one of the most ancient stories there is. what do people think the epic of gilgamesh was about?

Because as you go to the stories you want to see it animated. So there is a good anticipation on how they will be animated. From the comments of manhwa readers it seems that it get better and better but for an anime only there is not enough clue for me to anticipate a great coming fight or anything. I think there was a lot to introduce this season so there is only so much you can do in 12 episodes. I believe season 2 will be better since the power level is already established. The thing with season 1 is the whole premise of an OP character is he needs to be OP and the early stage is awkward since he started from so far. I donβt know if I made sense but I donβt know how to say it better. Also I think it did suffer from being sold as the best anime ever. Which I can understand if you are a manhwa reader because you are so much farther along and pass the awkward stage so you only anticipate how great the animation will be.
