It’s funny that you thought there was no way Subaru could be the right person to make the speech. As soon as the possibility came up I thought it either had to be Liliana or Subaru. Subaru’s speech went pretty much how I expected as well. He’s like Frodo in The Lord of The Rings - a little guy with a big heart surrounded by giants of deed and stature. Yet small and weak as he is he still perseveres. His speech was all about the courage of the everyman. He is weak and afraid just like the people he is talking to but he can still stand up and fight and so can they.

Hell even I forgot there was 2 let alone 3 Archbishops of Gluttony. You got The 2 brothers Lye Batenkaitos representing Gourmet and Roy Alphard representing Bizarre Eating and Louis Arneb representing Satiation which is the Little Sister. I dont Remember hearing about her in the 5th arc maybe we get a teaser in the closing scenes. But she will be in the 6th arc.

2024-11-14 07:29:57 +0000 UTCI haven't read the light novel so I don't know the extent of the influence of Liliana's singing. But base on what I have seen she could easily help them. But she wasn't there and there wasn't much time to look for her anyways. In any case Subaru's speech was more than perfect. Next week will be the last episode of the season 😞. We will need to wait until February for episode 9 😤

In this episode they left a clue for a huge reveal about Al identity (they left another clue in one of the shorts they put on YouTube with each episode) so probably on the YouTube comments more than one will "Spoiler you" telling Al's Identity. So if you don't want to know is better that you don't read the YouTube comments.

2024-11-14 02:07:37 +0000 UTCi feel like this episode showed how similar emilia and subaru are. they both are the type to do whatever they take to save everyone around them as well as inspire hope. Because while Subaru is trying to inspire the people in the shelters, Emilia has to do the same with inspiring the wives. Also the songstress wouldn’t have been right in this situation because when she sings all she does is distract them from their feelings. but with the power of wrath, it will only last so long before they start feeling that anxiety again. what they needed was to give them a new emotion to intensify, and Subaru changed their emotion to hope instead of having them stuck on despair
