Models I have worked with over many shoots often say that one of the reasons they love shooting with me is my creative concepts and ideas. But sometimes I just like to keep things simple. Like these portraits of the stunning Jordan, using just one continuous light and a black "reflector" positioned camera right to enhance the shadow. And it seems that my models are just as happy with images like these 😁
One of the reasons I am doing more of these "simple" shoots is that I am currently working on an extended project that I hope at some point will become a book. The project is taking up more of my time than my shoots usually do as I am making or upcycling a lot of the outfit items I am using in the shoots, which is challenging me a lot in some cases as I am having to learn new skills.
The big plan is that this project, which will feature a number of different models, will be my second book. My first book, that I am starting to compile will likely focus on one particular model - the stunning Megan - as I have photographed her in so many different styles. Various models, photographers and friend have been encouraging me to produce a book for quite some time, but my worry was that my styles are so varied that the book would lack cohesion. By focusing on just Megan I feel that problem will be overcome.
